Author's POV

It was a serene Sunday morning in the Singhania household, a day strictly reserved for family time. No business talks were allowed unless its necessary. The atmosphere was relaxed, a stark contrast to the usual hustle and bustle of their weekdays.

All the family members in the Singhania family had gathered in their vast garden, enjoying the morning sunlight. Yash's grandfather, Balraj, was sitting on his throne-like chair, engrossed in the newspaper. Yash, his bade papa Rajveer, and his papa Randheer were playing tennis. Yash was playing against them; they were twin brothers, though non-identical.

Yash, standing tall at 6'2 and radiating handsomeness, was intensely focused on the game. His pets, Roxy the Golden Retriever and Thor the German Shepherd, were running around, bringing the tennis ball whenever it fell out of play. Yash smiled and said, "Roxy, Thor, go to Krishna. He has your treats." Listening to the word "treats," Roxy and Thor happily ran off.

Rajveer (his bade papa) asked mid-game, "So it's final that you will go to London for further studies?"

Yash, preparing to return the ball, replied, "Yes, bade papa. I can also look after our business there while studying."

Randheer (Yash dad), wiping sweat from his brow, commented, "People strive hard to study at Singhania College. Students come from various places around the country to study at our college. It's their dream college, and you want to study somewhere else. We studied there and it was a college built by our family generations back. I and your bade papa both studied there. In fact, your bade papa met your Badi ma there. I don't get why you're insisting on going abroad. Like you, Akash and Vikas . Me, your bade papa, Akash's father, and Vikas's father were also childhood friends we studied together in the same college. You can study there too."

Yash hit the ball back and said, "I agree, papa. But I want to go abroad, and Akash, Vikas, and I have decided on this together."

Meanwhile, Sumitra, (Yash's Badi ma and Rajveer's wife), came to the garden and called out, "Okay, now stop playing. Morning tea is here."

Wiping his sweat, Yash joined the family and sat on a garden chair. The family gathered around a beautifully set tea table, the aroma of freshly brewed tea wafting through the air.

Balraj spoke, "We support you in whatever decision you make, but we would be happy if you continue your studies here like our family has done in the same college. Anyway, did you arrange accommodation over there?"

Yash replied, "Yes, dadu. Everything is arranged."

His grandmother (Tulsi), Badi ma (Sumitra), and his mother (Anuradha), sighed with concern. Anuradha said, "But we will miss you, Yash. What about us?"

Yash smiled and said, "It's just for two years, ma. I'll be coming back to visits you all for every two or three months and we can have video calls daily."

They sighed knowing that once Yash had decided on something no matter what he wouldn't change his mind. The family accepted his decision realizing that Yash's determination was unwavering. The conversation then shifted to lighter topics as they enjoyed their morning tea, cherishing the moments of togetherness.

Tulsi, Yash's grandmother, looked at him with a warm smile. "Yash, do whatever you want, but when we decide the dates for Avanthika's wedding, you need to be here at least three weeks before. We want you here. I can understand there are lots of men who can take care of everything, but you being here will give us strength."
