She paused, taking a moment to recover from the stab of pain before continuing, slowly making her way across the room to the door, which only seemed to be moving farther away from her.

Finally, she arrived at the base, dropping to her knees for a moment to catch her breath- this had taken a far greater toll on her than she had previously expected.

But once she had gathered herself, she wrapped one hand around the door handle, using it to hoist herself up before pushing it open, revealing the long and dark hallway.

It was now that she faced her biggest problem- figuring out a way out of the castle.

She was already moving slowly due to her injuries, but as the largeness of her surroundings finally settled in, she realized it would take a long, long, time to make it out- even if she knew the way.

Which she didn't.

Trying to conserve energy, she decided to crawl her way out instead of walking.

She spent the next ten minutes on her hands and knees, searching for some kind of exit- an exist that remained eluding her.

Finally, she gave up.

She needed to ask Vlad for help if she ever wanted to escape the maze that was his castle.

She began to retrace her steps, trying to get back to his bedroom, where she had been previously. She expected he'd return to speak to her at some point, after all.

However, her plan was soon cut short.

She hadn't noticed it, but somebody had creeped up behind her, silently making his way over to her sickly frame before scooping her up in his arms, holding her up bridal style to his chest.

She gasped, about to scream before she recognized him- it was Vlad.
