Now, he had several options.
He could kill her, right then and there- probably the easiest of them all. He would never be caught either.
His second option was to just leave- but then she would probably report him.
And he couldn't have that happening.
He needed a way to leave her unable to tell anyone what had happened.
Head trauma, maybe? He wasn't sure how to go about giving it to her though.
It didn't look like there was anything for him to use, after all- no hammers or wooden clubs.
But suddenly, he had an idea.
"Have you ever been swimming, Evangeline?" he asked.
Terrified, she shook her head.
He smiled devilishly, raking his fingers through his hair.
"I guess tonight you're going to find out what it's like."
He knelt down, hoisting her up and throwing her over his shoulders as though she were nothing more than a bag of newspapers he had to deliver.
And it was then that he began to make his way out of the gaping door-less doorway, carrying her as he did so.
He quickly walked to the forest, looming off in the distance.
The same forest Evangeline had gone on a picnic with Vlad at.
The forest where Theo was about to drown her.
That is, of course, if the water raining from the sky didn't drown her before that.
The storm had picked up, and the wind was blowing her hair all over the place, into her face and shielding her vision.
Luckily, it didn't shield it to the point where she didn't notice a little something in his pocket, at arms reach.
His pocketknife.
