They arrived a few minutes earlier than expected, much to Evangeline's greatfulness- she feared her curiosity would soon become too much to bare.

Regardless, the carriage pulled up in front of a massive building- one which Evangeline didn't recognize.

Which made sense, of course, since she hadn't particularly explored the area.

He looked down at her expectantly, waiting to see her reaction.

When there wasn't one, he raised an eyebrow.

"Would you like me to take you somewhere else?" he asked hesitantly.

"Why would you?"

"You don't seem particularly excited is all, I suppose."

"Maybe I'd be a bit more excited if you told me what this place was," she responded, hearing the sound of footmen approaching the carriage door to open it from outside.

"You really don't get out much, do you?" he sighed. "This is a theater- and the grandest one for a good amount of miles in every direction, trust me."

"A theatre?" she repeated "How.. quaint. What is to play?"

"Well what would you like to see?"

"I don't know about Romania, but where I'm from, you don't get to decide what's playing," she smiled.

"Oh, don't worry, you can't decide either here. However, for a bribe or too.."

"You absolute fiend!" she laughed, the doors sliding open.

He shot her a lopsided grin as he stepped out of said door, waiting for her outside.

She took his arm, allowing him to guide her down the steps, before a footman closed the door behind her.

The two of them made their way inside the theatre, where Vlad pitched his previous question once more.

"So then. What would you like to watch?"

She paused for a moment, mulling over the answer in her head.

"Romeo and Juliet," she finally declared "To set a more romantic mood."

"A classic," he mused "Though regardless, I wouldn't exactly use romantic as the right word, considering how the play ends..."

"Is that not the most romantic part?" she asked "Dying for each other?"

"Over a misunderstanding? Not so much. Let's go get tickets."

She rolled her eyes as she followed him to the marble counter at the center of the massive entry hall, watching as he struck up a conversation with the man standing behind it.

A few minutes later, the deal was struck. Romeo and Juliet would be playing in 20 minutes- enough time for the cast to prepare everything.

In the meantime, however, the pair decided to get drinks.

There was a bar of sorts on the left hand side of the hall, which they soon found themselves standing at.

"A whiskey," Vlad ordered "And a bottle of wine for the madame."

The man across from them nodded silently before turning his back to them and starting to work on their requests.

He was quick with it, having their drinks ready in a matter of minutes. Vlad slid a few coins over the table, and with that, the two began walking to the seating area.

It was an outdoor sort of thing, with the theatre itself being circular, with an open ceiling, and the other amenities built around it.

The two were completely isolated from the outside world as a result, forming quite the intimate ambiance.

Neither expected for other people to come- not on such sort notice that there was even to be a play.

But Vlad had paid enough money to fill every seat in that auditorium, so really, the theater wasn't at a loss.

He helped her into her seat, taking her drink from her as she settled down before returning it to her.

"This place is empty," she commented "I fear we shall be the only audience."

"I don't particularly mind," he responded, taking a sip of his whiskey. "Think of it as a private show."

"A bit awkward for the actors though, no? Private show or not."

"I can imagine they're used to it. They've probably performed privately before."

"But to only two people?"

He was silent.

"Perhaps.. perhaps it shall be awkward," he finally relented.

She smiled to herself, pleased that he was seeing things her way, even if it wasn't all too serious of a discussion.
