“Who’s side are you on?” Nick asked. The two wine lovers stared at each other. Simon appeared to calm down, and he went back to eating. Then Simon got an idea. You could tell he was up to something by looking at his face. He grabbed a pepperoni from his pizza slice and slowly brought it up to his mouth. In an instant, the pepperoni was out of his hand and flying through the air. It landed right on the chest of Nick's white shirt. Everyone in the room, except Andy, had the exact same face; mouth open, frozen with shock. Andy was silently giggling at the situation. Nick carefully peeled the pepperoni off of his white button-up and placed it on a napkin. I’m not going to freak out over this, he said to himself. Everyone was waiting for him to retaliate, but he just calmly stood up and walked to the bathroom. John felt bad for Nick. Another victim of Simon’s pre-show wrath. He thought Nick dealt with it well, though. Not feeding into his chaos is the best way to deal with him.
Well, if Nick isn’t going to do anything, John thought, might as well avenge him. He put his fork down beside his plate and picked up his napkin to wipe his face. Without making it obvious, he picked up one of his spaghetti noodles. He quickly flicked it over at Simon. It landed directly on his face. Simon let out a gasp.
“JOHN!” Simon yelled with an accusatory tone as the noodle slid off his skin and fell to the floor. John couldn’t stop himself from snickering.
“What’s wrong with you, Boy!?” Simon yelled. He couldn’t help but smile. He truly cares about all of his friends so much, even if he was an arsehole to them sometimes. If anything happened to them, he wouldn’t know what to do. It had only been a few years since he met everyone, but they had grown super close. You could say they were tighter than a knot, closer than atoms, or as inseparable as a chain link. However you choose to describe them wouldn’t accurately represent how much they love and care for each other. The best thing about being in this band is that nobody does anything behind your back. Think of it like this; they aren't friends because they’re in the band together, the band exists because they are friends.
