Confusion

"What in the fuck?!"

I jumped at the sound of Isiah yelling. I grab the gun from underneath the coffe table and ran to my room. "What?! What happened?!" I said barely awake but ready to protect my brother.

"Why in the fuck is she in your bed Alex and you're not?!" I give him a bored look.

"Really? That's why you're yelling? It's too early for this." I walk away to go put the gun back.

"Alex. What the hell? You meet her one day and already she's in your bed?" He says. He's pissed.

"No it's not like that."

He crosses his arms. "Then what's it like?"

"You were out so I invited her over. We didn't fuck if that's what you're worried about. We just watched Shrek, ate pizza and talked. And then when we got tired I gave her my bed to sleep in after she requested for the couch by the way. And then we went to sleep. See? Nothing to it." I say waking towards the kitchen to start breakfast still not sure what time it is but he'd be up my ass if we were late.

"So nothing happened between you two?" He asked.

"Not yet." Crystal says walking in the kitchen pass Isiah, who is death staring her and she walks up to me and kisses my cheek. "As good as that smells cutie, I have to head home to change for work. I'll see you."

"Thank you for coming again. It was fun." I said with a smile.

"No problem. I hope we can do it soon." She says grabbing her phone and heading home.

"Cutie? Kisses on cheeks? And you want me to believe nothing happened between you two." He scoffs and walks away to his room.

"Nothing happened!" I yelled. And finished up the food.

After breakfast and calming Isiah down finally convincing him that nothing happened between Crystal and I, I got ready for work. I decided on a burgundy 3 piece attire. Burgundy pants, black button up under shirt and burgundy vest. Damn I look good. My curls fall onto my head perfect this morning and I added my signature black rings.

"Well look at you. Hoping to impress the boss or cousin?" Isiah ask with coffee in his hand.

I roll my eyes. "I'm feeling confident today. It's only the second day and yet. I feel like a million bucks. So, mine as well look like it." I say gesturing towards myself.

"And that you do. Let's go." He says opening the door and we head out to the building.

Once we get to the building I leave Isiah to talk to Malin and I head to the elevator to get to my office to start officially working.

"Hold the elevator please!" That voice yells and I press the open button. "Alex. You are my life saver once again." She says breathy. She's wearing her heels that give her height because she still just under my chin with them on. White pencil dress that definitely hugs her figure. This woman is gorgeous.

"It's no problem. How are you this morning?" I say taking in her scent. Vanilla.

"I'm good actually. I was looking forward to today." She said excitedly. She's so cute when she's excited her eyes light up and her dimples show in both her cheeks.

"Why today?" I said curiously.

She shrugged. "I don't know. Something just made me want to rush here today." She say nonchalantly but with a smile on her face.

"Well I hope you continue to have a good day Ariyah." I love how her name sounds coming off my tongue.

She hummed and cleared her throat. Immediately walking out of the elevator as soon as it opens. Did I say something?
