When we get back to the dock, Malin and Ariyah help Crystal off. She got actually wasted off champagne. She was being very touchy on everyone on the boat but I continued to shrug her off and let Ariyah know once she came up. She wasn't mad, thank god, but she told Crystal to cool it.
"We're going to get her sobered up for dinner. See you guys then." Ariyah said as they carry her to her room.
"That woman is lucky Ariyah is so damn understanding. Malin almost broke her finger when she just touched my hair." Isiah said as we walk the beach to pass the time.
"She's surrounded by couples. And one of them being the girl she liked and the other her own cousin. I'd understand the frustration." I shrug.
"You right. So I didn't mean to be pervy or whatever but you guys were loud." I laughed and he continued. "I heard a faint 'I love you'." I smile at the memory of her saying it.
"Yeah she said it last night too when she thought I was asleep. And then again earlier." I inhale deeply. "It feels great Sai. I mean I feel like I'm floating every time she's near me. I'm happy. I'm genuinely happy. And not like happy when I crunch numbers like the nerd I am. Like when the sun and moon both are seen throughout the day. Or when the rain hits the window and the droplets join together. It's euphoric Sai."
Isiah smiles at me and hugs me tight. I lay my head in his shoulder. "I am so happy and proud of you Alex. I'm happy you've found someone who makes you feel this way. I know dad would be proud as well." He says and a tear begins to fall at the thought of our dad. He wipes it away and wraps his arm around my shoulder and we continue to walk.
I nod. "Yeah he would be of you too and Malin. He always thought you'd guys get together." I laugh wiping my tears.
"Oh yeah he'd always tell me 'Isiah grow some balls before another man swoops her off her feet.' I'm glad no one did. I think she was waiting on me Alex." He says smiling.
"I'm happy for us." And we continue to walk the beach until we make it back to the lounge and join some guys watching a UFC fight.
My phone vibrates and I see a text from Ariyah. 'Company dinner at 7. I'll meet you there. Crystal should be better by then. DONT DRINK!' I laugh at the text reply. 'I won't. Never again. And ok we'll be ready.'
It's 3 right now so we have time.
6:30 hits and we're all play fighting. "I got my money Alex." A guy from advertising said when I was tackled by Isiah.
He gets me from behind in a chokehold. "Oh come on now sis. Just tap and your girlfriend won't have to take you to the hospital." He gloats.
"You know we don't quit." I say and I elbow his rib to get out of the hold. He grunts and I arm bar him. "Tap!"
"Tap! Tap! Tap!" The crowd goes.
He struggles and raises his hand to tap. "What in the hell is going on in here?!" I hear Ariyahs voice and I let go getting on my feet. Isiah joins holding on to his side where I got him.
"Good evening Ms. Fallon." Tony who works with Isiah said greeting my girlfriend. "We were just having some fun."
Ariyah dismisses him. "Everyone should be getting ready for the dinner. And all of you better be there by 7 unless you want Monday to be a bitch of a day then it already is." It's goes quiet and me and Isiah's tired and panicked breaths are the only things heard. "Well go!" We try to sneak away. "Not you two."
We freeze and turn to our girlfriends who are both wearing tight fitted black gown dresses and heels. Mailns hair is straight in a side part and Ariyahs curls are pinned to the back in stylish pinystail. "Hey Baby." I try to walk up to kiss her but she pushes me back by face.
