1:50 rolls and I head down to the conference room. I meet Crystal by the door and we walk in the same time and take our seats next to each other. Isiah snorts but I ignore him. "Hey Crystal."
"Hey Alex. Saturday was fun. I'm sorry I left before everyone woke up. I hope it wasn't rude." She said worried.
I shake my head. "Nah you're good. But I'm glad you enjoyed yourself and glad your dog is alright." She nods and I sense something is wrong. "We are good right? You're not mad about what I said?" I ask cautiously.
She nods her head. "We're good Alex. I'm not mad that you like someone else. I'd be surprised if there wasn't 100 women lined up at you everyday. So I understand that at least one caught your eye. She's a lucky girl." She says and as hurt as she sounds she sounds genuine too.
"Thank you for understanding Crystal. I really hope this doesn't mean we'll stop hanging out."
She shrugs. "Maybe for a little while. So I can get over this crush. But we're still friends." She reassured.
"Great." I smile and Ariyah walks in with her new button up tucked into her skirt. I smirk at it and she rolls her eyes playfully as she sits down.
"We may begin." And the meeting goes underway.
Ariyah and I take turns sneaking glances at one another until it's my turn to present the budget and itinerary plan for the trip. It all goes smoothly and approved by all board members and the meeting ends.
"You are so sexy when you present. I can never take my eyes off you." Ariyah says in my ear and then walks away after tugging at my belt sending a wave of heat through my body.
"Malin told me Ms. Fallon messed up her last shirt this morning. And that you called in the request for a new one." Isiah says as we walk towards the elevator.
I roll my eyes. "Meaning?"
"Meaning, you wouldn't have had something to do with that would you? Because having sex at home is one thing but at the office? Jeez are you trying to get caught? What if Crystal heard?"
We make it to my office and I groan. "We were careful. The door was locked and we were quiet." He eyes me. "Enough. Look that doesn't matter. All that matters is that I'm having fun with my girl-. With Ariyah. And you're the one who said not to worry about Crystal."
"Well yeah but I didn't think you'd take that as saying just screw it up. You were right she is a great girl. So don't get caught." He says and then fist pumps me. "But great job." He winks and walks out.
I scoff and shake my head.
A/N Short chapter but I had work and didn't want to stress my brain out so much so I wrote this and just decided not to add anything to it and just proceed to the next. Hope you still enjoyed it though.
Do you feel bad for Crystal?
