The Morning After

Saturday Morning

I wake up to my arms wrapped around Ariyah as she still has her face in the crook of my neck and her breath brushing against it. Last night really happened. I turn to my nightstand to grab my phone it's 7 in the morning. I didn't hear Isiah come in last night so maybe she'll be able to sneak out before he does.

I feel her shift and her eyes flutter open meeting mine. God how she's so beautiful just waking up. "Good morning." I say.

She smiles and snuggles closer to me. "Good morning. What time is it?" She ask.

"7. How'd you sleep?"

"Honestly? The best sleep I've had in a long time. I have you to thank for that." She says smiling.

"Well your welcome. I was going to make breakfast. You want some?" I ask standing up from the bed.

"Yes please. Do you have clothes I can change into that don't make me feel like I'm a munchkin." She jokes.

"I have a old tracksuit before I started working out in my drawer. It should fit." I say and I head to the kitchen to make breakfast.

As I make breakfast I hear the door open and close and my eyes go wide. Shit. "Lex? I'm home." Isiah yells coming into the kitchen. "That's a lot of food for you." He states curiously.

"Uh yeah." I say avoiding him.

"Do you have someone in there?" He says with a smile, pointing towards the hall where my room is.

I shrug. "Yeah. But don't make a big deal out of it?"

He jumps on the counter beside me and wiggles his brows. "What about Crystal and Ariyah?" He asks

I avoid his look and don't answer.

He gets off and tilts my head to look at him. "Alex? Who is in there?" He ask skeptical.

My eyes jump all over his face in panic.

"Alex baby, where's my bra?" Ariyah says walking into the kitchen not noticing Isiah's presence. "Oh? Isiah. How are you?" She said nervously.

Isiah turns back to me with fury in his eyes. "Really? This is you figuring it out?" He walks away and in his room not giving me a chance to respond but honestly what would I have said?

Ariyah walks up to me. "I'm sorry. I didn't know he was here." She apologizes.

I shake my head. "It's fine. He'll get over it." I take a deep breath and kiss her softly. "Breakfast is ready. Go to the table."

She sits down and enjoys the breakfast. "Mm this is really good Alex. You are talented."

I blush from the praise. "Thank you. My mom taught me. Now that woman is talented."

"Well give her my thanks. So I'm gonna go after eating. You need to talk to him and I need to get ready for tonight. That's still happening right?"

I nod. "Of course. It'll be fun. And yeah I'll talk to him hopefully he isn't too pissed."

I take our plates into the sink and she gathers her stuff to leave and walk her to the door. "Well thank you. For last night and breakfast. I really enjoyed it." She says shyly.

I smile and kiss her again but this time passionately. "I did too. See you tonight. Drive safe."

"See you."

I close the door and I'm met with Isiah walking into the living room about to turn on the PlayStation. I join him and he hands me my controller. He turns on 2K and goes to blacktop.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean for it to happen." I apologize scoring the first point."

"I'm not mad at you Alex. Im disappointed." Ouch. He says dunking on me. "I just thought you were smarter than that. You were supposed to figure out who you liked more today in a fair setting. But now." I steal the ball and set a three pointer.

"I know. I didn't initiate it. She did. But I couldn't turn her down. I do like her Sai. She's amazing. And I'm not just saying that because of the sex." Another 3.

"I knew it would happen but not this soon and definitely not before today of all days. How's tonight supposed to go? I mean both women in your house. One slept in your bed and another slept with you." He ask setting a 3 on me.

I shrug. "I don't know man. I still like them both but I obviously like Ariyah more if I was able to throw away my control like that." I admit. He steals.

"Well, there's your answer for that. But the next question, is what happens with Crystal? Do you think she'll understand?"

I pause. "Fuck I didn't even think about actually telling her. What do I say?"

He shrugs. "You need to. Just tell her the truth. You like someone else. You don't have to specify it's her cousin yet since it's too soon but she deserves to know she doesn't have a chance." I nod and press play and he dunks on me again.

"Thanks Sai. For not being too mad at me."

He turns to me and hugs me from the side. "Hey I might be disappointed by how you're handling this, I'm also very proud. She's a catch." He winks and we go back to the game.

Tonight is going to be eventful.
