Alex's POV
We are back home. New Years consisted of us drinking as much as we could and did a small bonfire before everyone left to do their separate things. Jonathan and Mikayla told Joseph they were retiring from assassination to start a family and Joseph was proud of them. Lauren is heading to Italy for a 'tour' and Crystal will be going to the Bahamas with Antonio for the remainder of the holiday break to spend it with his family. He's a really cool guy. He barely speaks but when he does he's a gentleman and funny guy.
Ariyah and I are in our separate offices. She got mine built while we were gone and it's amazing. Huge windows that look out to the backyard that has the view of mountains. A triple monitor and huge desk. Black marbel floors and black painted walls with all my manga posters up. I love it. I'm just organizing my bookshelf while she's doing her CEO things.
"Ok ok! We're leaving now!" Ariyah says coming into my office frantically with the phone to her ear. I look at her confused and worried. "Malin just calm down!"
"Baby what's going on?" I ask really worried now that I know it's Malin.
She puts her hand on my face while she's listening to whatever Malin is yelling about over the phone. "Ok we're coming. Give us an hour. Ok." And then she hangs up. She takes a deep breath and cups both sides of my face. "Malins pregnant." She says.
My eyes go wide and I feel like I stopped breathing. "What?"
She nods. "Yeah and she's freaking out so we need to head there now." She says and we throw our slides on and head to the car with her driving and head to my old apartment.
We make it to the apartment and I open the door with the key I still have. "Mal? Isiah?" Ariyah calls and I hear sniffling coming from the kitchen.
We turn the corner to see Mal crying at the kitchen island with three pregnancy tests in front of her. She looks scared. "Mal?" I call her nervously.
She looks up at us with tears covering her face and Ariyah runs to her and wraps her in a hug. "Why are you crying? Do you not want the baby?" Ariyah asks but Malin nods saying she does.
"Where's Isiah?" I ask when I don't hear or see him anywhere supporting his girlfriend.
She looks at me and shakes her head. "He left."
I'm taken back by her words. "What do you mean he left?"
"I told him about the baby, he didn't say anything but kiss me and said it'll be ok and then I went to wash my hands and when I came back he was gone. He's not answering his phone either." She starts crying harder. "I don't know what I'm going to do."
Ariyah holds her up and then looks at me. "Go find him and bring him back." She tells me and I nod frantically still confused by my brothers actions. This isn't how we were raised. He wouldn't just leave. I grab the car keys, kiss Ariyah, and headed out to find Isiah.
I'm driving around the neighborhood and going to the park where we shoot hoops when the neighborhood was too full but he wasn't there. After 20 minutes of looking I see a guy waking with bags in his hand in the Jordan 11s I got Isiah for Christmas last year. "Isiah!"
He turns to my voice nervously but then takes a breath when he sees it me. "Alex what the fuck man! You can't be driving up on a black man like that!" He said walking up to the car.
I get out of the car and stand in front of him and punch him in his chest like mom used to do when we would do something morally wrong. "Have you lost your fucking mind?!" I yell while he grabs his chest.
"What did I do?!" He asks heaving for a breath.
"Why the fuck are you shopping while your pregnant girlfriend is at you guys apartment balling her eyes out because you decided to skip out on her?!" I yell pulling him by his shirt to stand up straight.
