Sabo must've fallen asleep in the chair because the next thing she knew she was being woken up.

Sabo shot up. 'What is it?'

Kaz raised his eyebrow at her. 'Bad conscience?'

Sabo scoffed at him after she checked up on Inej. 'Bad attitude?' she replied as she sat back down.

Kaz was leaning against the wall as Nina walked into the small room, Sabo hadn't noticed her as she tried falling asleep in the chair again.

'If you're here to call me a drüskelle again, I'd be very careful if I were you. I'm not in the mood.'

'Are you ever?' he replied before he cleared his throat. 'Nina's here to take over, I need to talk to you.'

Sabo saw Nina standing behind him. 'You sure?' Sabo asked Nina. Nina nodded at her as she sat down next to Inej.

Sabo followed Kaz to his room.

'Was it you?' he asked as he closed the door behind them.

Sabo frowned at him. 'What?'

'Was it you who talked?' Kaz asked again.

Sabo raised her eyebrows as she turned towards him. 'You're kidding me, right?' Sabo scoffed.

'You said you were here for business.' Kaz replied coldly. 'What business?'

'You'd think I return to Ketterdam just to betray you?'

'You've been gone for a year. I don't know where your loyalties lie anymore.'

Sabo laughed. 'If there is one person on this boat that would betray someone for their own gain, it wouldn't be me.' Sabo hissed.

'What were you discussing with Pekka Rollins then? Yesterday?' Kaz asked.

'Well, first we were discussing the weather, then the conditions in the prison, and after that, we were discussing all the ways to bring your little empire down.' Sabo said sarcastically. 'Why are you having me followed?' she sneered.

Kaz's expression didn't change. 'That was not an answer to the question,' he replied.

'Saints, Kaz. You'd really think I wanted to talk to Pekka? Until a few days ago I thought he was still sitting in Hellgate.'

Kaz knew that Sabo wouldn't betray him, but seeing her talk to Pekka and knowing she was keeping things from him made him want to ask her, or maybe he was just looking for a reason to talk to her.

'Pekka came up with his men, thanking me for giving him the idea of expanding the Hellshow.'

'You gave him the idea for the Hellshow?' Kaz asked.

'I guess.' Sabo replied annoyed. 'He said I fought like an animal. He was basically comparing me with a desert lizard.' Sabo sat down at one of the small chairs. 'Why did he get released anyway?'

'There was evidence that he didn't kill Tante Heleen.' Kaz replied.

'What kind of evidence?' Sabo asked.

'Nobody knows.' Kaz replied irritated. 'Everyone is keeping their mouth shut on it.'

'Now, have I cleared myself from your absurd accusations? or do you still want to question me?' Sabo asked.

'Who else on this ship do you think is betraying us then?' Kaz asked as he sat down across from her. He stretched out his bad leg again.

'What about the drüskelle that keeps vomiting.' Sabo replied.
