After witnessing Alina Starkov in the flesh, Jesper and Sabo retreated towards Marko his carriage.

Arken, Kaz, and Inej were already waiting on them.

"Did another reading while you were at it?" Kaz asked them. Jesper jumped into the carriage after Sabo. He held up his hands towards them.

"You guys are never going to believe what just happened."

"What?" Arken asked them, raising his eyebrows.

"We saw Alina." Sabo replied as she sat down next to Arken.

Inej drew in a breath. "The Sun Summoner?" Inej asked, her tone cautious.

"Are you guys sure it was her?" Kaz asked intrigued.

Jesper nodded at him. "She's part Shu." He said before sitting down across Inej. Arken tilted his head at them.

"When exactly did you see her?" he asked them.

"Just now." Sabo replied. Inej looked out of the window behind her, hoping to catch a glance of the saint. "But she's already back into the palace. There wasn't anything we could've done."

Inej looked back at them, disappointed.

"Where were you two?" Arken asked Sabo.

"We were at a Suli fortune teller." She answered. Inej her eyes lit up.

"And?" she asked excitedly, trying to push down the homesick feeling she got. "Better than the one in Ketterdam's, right?"

"Well, they predicted that I would find a new lover and that we both will become very rich," Jesper replied, pointing at him and Sabo. "So, I wouldn't know what to not like about her."

Sabo didn't know yet what to think about the fortune teller, she felt like something was off. When Jesper had handed Manuela her mug, something in her expression tightened, like something was very wrong.

Inej snorted at Jesper. "Speaking about becoming very rich." she stated as she marked the floorplan in front of her. "What's in this room?"

"It's the fitting room." Kaz said, glancing over at the paper. "It's where she'll go to change for dinner."

"And that's where we'll grab her." Arken said.

"Out of the way, clean lines of sight, easily controlled space. I like it." Jesper spoke.

"I'd like it, too," Kaz remarked, looking back at Jesper. "If it had a door."

"It doesn't have a door?" Sabo asked, her eyebrows lifted.

"Not one that we can use." Kaz said. "It's some sort of Grisha lock. It took a Materialnik to open it." he added.

Arken looked up at Kaz, a grin on his face. Sabo frowned at him.

"What are you laughing about?"

"I'm of use after all, I can get through the door." Arken replied, looking around the carriage. Sabo her frown deepened, she shot Kaz a look. Kaz returned her look before glancing back at Arken.

"How?" Kaz asked him.

"The locking mechanisms are Fabrikator-designed. Iron cogs that slide into place without a latch. But for one of us to open it, we'll need a lodestone. With a minimum of 2000 external strength. Hard to find."

"Well, it's not like we're just walking around with one of those in our pockets." Jesper exclaimed.

Arken grabbed his bag, digging around in it until he pulled out a big silver rock, he offered it to Jesper who frowned at him.
