꧁𓊈𒆜"Chapter Seven"𒆜𓊉꧂
Anger... My Old Friend.

Besides being sworn enemies with all of them, there was something about the Ninja that I couldn't put my finger on. They did everything together, and I mean everything. I'd never seen such a dynamic before, it had me watching them all with a close eye. I was quite happy acting as if none of them existed half the time. Despite being glared at by half of them 90% of the time and living in their home, it was mostly okay.
I had gone to the bathroom to brush my teeth for the night and it all started well, though apparently my missing presence was noticed since Cole walked into the shared bathroom not even a second later to do the same thing. Then Jay did, followed by Kai and Zane.

They didn't trust me, but it didn't leave me bothered. What bothered me was how they literally did everything together... that or they had the same grudge, which still proves my point. My father, like the devious man he was, followed them curiously and picked up a knife to start brushing his teeth. I was used to this action and the sound it caused and paid no attention. One by one, the Ninja looked up to stare. I laughed mid brush, their faces were definitely something.
I spat then rinsed, putting my toothbrush down before turning away from the sink. Kai locked eyes with me as I walked out the door.

His eyes on me made me smirk. Kai was certainly something. He had eyed my father darkly at dinner too. I understood his reasoning, since I was positive my father was only being like this to scare them, he was eating black grubs. I knew full well he could eat what the rest of us were eating, but it made the scene more funnier.

"What's he eating?" Cole grimaced, leaning to Kai so he could convey his words quietly.

Kai didn't care who he could offend and spoke for all to hear.

"Condensed evil. Supposed to be low in fat," He scoffed, rolling his eyes at the chuckle Lord Garmadon gave off.

But that wasn't all he did. He threw a grub over to Kai, who made a sound of disgust and brushed it away with his fork. I snorted, covering my mouth with my hand to try and hide my expression.

...

I wasn't the sociable type like my father. Whilst he preferred to laugh at the sad romance playing to annoy Nya and Jay trying to be romantic, I preferred to sit outside the deck, waiting for the thunderstorm to arrive. The darkness outside reminded me of the Underworld. I wouldn't necessarily say that I missed it, I think I just craved the familiarity and not living with the Ninja. As soon as Lloyd was found, I'd fight to bring him back home with Father and I. He didn't belong at Darkley's. He belonged with his family.

As the dark clouds started to appear and the bleak cold started to take over, I began to relax on the sail pillar. As predicted, Father strolled out in shorts and a blanket not a moment after the sky started to rumble. It was slightly amusing to see him laid back despite being the guest in our enemies' home. But I guess nothing could rob my father from the way he liked to slack off.

Night came around quickly. Days seemed to come and go through our search for Lloyd. I was placed on the floor with a thin mattress next to my father. I knew what was coming, hence why I had gotten a face mask to block out the light, I say that, but I mean I stole it. The sound didn't bother me much, but it made me excited with the knowledge of how it'll annoy the Ninja.
My father began using his power, a sharp glimmer of purple darted through his hands, lighting up most of the room with its glow and its buzzing sound.
