꧁𓊈𒆜"Chapter Seven"𒆜𓊉꧂
Anger... My Old Friend.

Besides being sworn enemies with all of them, there was something about the Ninja that I couldn't put my finger on. They did everything together, and I mean everything.

I was quite happy acting as if none of them existed despite being glared at by half of them 90% of the time and living in their home. The trick was to act like you didn't care, only for me, I actually didn't care.

I had gone to the bathroom to brush my teeth for the night and all started well, though apparently my missing presence was noticed since Cole walked into the shared bathroom not even a second later to do the same thing. Then Jay did, followed by Kai and Zane.

They literally did everything together... that or they had the same grudge which still proves my point.

My father, like the devious man he was, followed them curiously and picked up a knife to start brushing his teeth. I was used to this action and the sound it caused and paid no attention. One by one, the Ninja looked up to stare.

I spat then rinsed, putting my toothbrush down before turning away from the sink. Kai locked eyes with me as I walked out the door.

I smirked.

Kai had sent my father a similar look at dinner earlier too. I understood his reasoning, since I was positive my father was only being like this to scare them, he was eating black grubs. I knew full well he could eat what the rest of us were eating but it made the scene more funnier.

"What's he eating?" Cole grimaced, leaning to Kai so he could convey his words quietly.

Kai didn't care who he could offend and spoke for all to hear.

"Condensed evil. Supposed to be low in fat," He scoffed, rolling his eyes at the chuckle Lord Garmadon gave off.

But that wasn't all he did, he threw a grub over to Kai who made a sound of disgust and brushed it away with his fork. I clenched my jaw to stop a smile at the way he writhed away from it.

...

I wasn't the sociable type like my father. Whilst he preffered to laugh at the sad romance playing to annoy Nya and Jay trying to be romantic, I preffered to sit outside the deck, waiting for the thunderstorm to arrive.

As the dark clouds started to appear and the bleak cold started to take over, I began to relax on the sail pillar. As predicted, he strolled out in shorts and a blanket not a moment after the sky started to rumble.
