The ride back to Ninjago City was tense. I was nervous, I didn't want to go up against my Father, but on the other had, I had never been so ready for a fight in my life. But I didn't want this. I still wanted to Rule Ninjago, right?
Lloyd was in our Grandfather's Mech, flying over the ocean just ahead of the rest of us who were seated on the dragon. I'd never been on a dragon before but I'm pretty sure I liked it. I was holding onto Zane, not comfortable with holding onto anyone else. I wished I could be holding onto Lloyd, or even be with him in the mech, but there was no room. I just put up with it.
"We're not far away!" Kai pointed to the clouds with a purple light emitting from it.
I swallowed. Purple was supposed to be my colour.
"Oh FSM, you sure that's Ninjago?" Cole gasped, his voice sounding anxious.
"Wow," Jay drawled out the word.
The dragon and Lloyd flew over the coast, heading towards the Central city. There was a thick cloud swallowing the whole place, I was glad I had a mask. My stomach flipped. I wasn't sure if I wanted to do this now.
I couldn't do this. I didn't have it in me to do this. That was my Father, possessed by the Overlord, sure, but my Father let alone. He raised me. It wasn't so bad when I was younger, he would play with me, teach me how to use a Bow and Arrow, you know, typical father son bonding. I couldn't go against him now.
He'd taken care of me for 11 years by himself. I couldn't turn my back on him, what if he needed my help when taking over the world, it was a stressful job!
"There's a fortress?" Mother gasped.
She was right, dead set in the middle of Ninjago City was a building that had never been there before. I clenched my jaw. What was it with them not telling me their plans? I was on their side! I needed to know these things.
"But where's the Overlord?" Julien pressed worriedly, glaring to the Ninja.
Lloyd made impact with the ground first and Julien's question was left unanswered. We hid behind a building. I let go of Zane but stayed on the Dragon, to fearful to move. If I did it would bring the foretold destiny closer to the present.
