꧁𓊈𒆜"Chapter Twenty Eight"𒆜𓊉꧂
Actions have consequences.

"Where is it?" I demanded, my jaw clenched subconsciously to try and control any emotion coursing through me right now.

Uncle Wu stared back at me, his expression not giving anything away. He knew what I was talking about, he had to know. After a small moment of my harsh glare and his empty eyes, he nodded.

"I thought you'd never ask," He hummed thoughtfully, turning his back on me to open the sliding door to his closet.

He pulled out a black box and opened it, I didn't wait for him to hand it over, I pulled the outfit out and stormed out of his study, marching determinedly to my room.

I almost felt like I couldn't control how I was feeling. I knew that I was hurt, I was angry and I was so damned confused, but I didn't know how to get it out.

They wanted me to be a Ninja so bad? Fine, they'll get a Ninja, but on my terms.

I pulled the wretched thing on, strapping down all of the buckles and ripping the velcro tight. I knotted the rope belt and secured my earpeice in the left pocket and buttoned my mask to the back of the collar.

I glanced at myself in the mirror. This Gi had no black, it had no skull on the back. It was a pure colour of deep purple. It was so uncanny, I recognised myself but it was as if I was looking at someone who knew me but didn't know me.

The thought of my own mind was like a stranger trying to find their way around a new place. Nothing made sense and I didn't know where to start.

I grabbed a hoodie and threw it over myself, zipping it up and slamming my door shut on my way out. Mother called my name from behind me but I didn't turn to acknowledge her. I figured Lloyd had told her what had happened.

He seemed so guilty. I believed that he didn't know fully what Cyrus Borg had planned, I believed all of them when they said that because the look on their faces were too real. But my brain felt swollen in my head and I felt like I was going to explode.

My legs had their own mind and my body just so happened to be following them. Before I knew it I was knocking on a door and waiting impatiently behind it. I heard footsteps approach slowly and then the door opened.

Violet looked like a mess. Her eyes were red and puffy, mascara bled down her face and smudged under her eyes. Her hair was down and flowing by her shoulders, she hardly ever wore it down.

"Ash?" She frowned, the expression mixed with her appearance made me pull her to my chest.

She made a sound of surprise which I ignored, I continued to hug her. I was sure it was helping her, but to have her this close to me also provided a sense of comfort to me too. Sure, Violet had an unconventional way of dealing with things and usually coped and offered drugs to deal with them, but I knew she was kind at heart.
