꧁𓊈𒆜"Chapter Three"𒆜𓊉꧂ The truth
When my eyes flickered open, I had to shut them again as the sun peirced into them. Turning my head in hopes the sun wouldn't get me to harshly in that direction, I opened them to see a strange sight.
Why were the Ninja in a cage and why did they look so unbothered about it? I frowned.
I moved my legs and my hands. I was lying in sand, okay... but why? Hadn't I climbed the Garmatron, shouldn't I be ruling Ninjago already?
I sat up, my whole body aching. That's when I realized that the Ninja weren't in a cage... I was.
My chest tightened. Why was I still on this island? Where was Father? He was coming back for me right?
"Ash?"
My head span to the voice, my eyes narrowing at the sight of my little brother... who wasn't so little anymore.
I took in the sight of him, he was hurt. Since his mask was off, I had a clear shot of his face. He had a gash on the side of his face that was dribbling blood down his cheek, but he didn't seem to care. Around his leg was a bandage, was his ankle broken? When had all this happened? Who did that to him?
"What is wrong with you?" Lloyd asked calmly, but his eyes held anger, "Do you not see that you were only being used?"
"What?" I spat, glaring at him.
My tone made Lloyd snap.
"He doesn't care about you Ash!" I flinched, not expecting expecting fury, "If he cared about you, he would've taken you with him instead of kicking you down and knocking you out!"
My eyes dropped. My Father was the reason I was still here?
"Why would you chose this life? You're not happy, I know you're not happy!" He continued, his hands gripping the wood that secured me in this cage.
"I'm happy," I deflected his assumption.
"Then why did you use drugs, huh? Why did you sleep with Kai just to feel something? You can't go around hurting people to make yourself feel better Asher!" His rage continued, and I didn't look up at him once.
"You hurt him! He thought that maybe you were going to change, we all did at one point, but you didn't, you don't, you never do!"
"Uncle Wu told me what you told him the night you left. You told him to push me so hard that it broke me, all so I won. You said you didn't want to hurt me, you knew that everytime you took our father's side that it would hurt me, yet you still did it! Why?"
