꧁𓊈𒆜"Chapter Five"𒆜𓊉꧂
A Can Of Worms."Ashton, get back!" My father grunted, pushing me behind him and springing in front of Mr.
I watched in astonishment as Wu held his staff out in front of my father. My hands fisted at my side as I ducked back into the house to retrieve my Bow and Quiver. I returned to the doorstep to see them battling near the cliffs edge. Right. I knew my father had a temper, but how on earth had they escalated to a physical fight in the five seconds I had dissapeared for?
I watched them fight for a moment, more specifically Uncle Wu. His old age wasn't something that stopped his agility. It was actually impressive to see how much strength he held as he fought my father."Brother," Father glared at him, equal strength used to fight off his relative, "What took you so long? You brought the katana of our youth... funny," He spat the word, "You never had enough courage to cross the temple wall, yet now you have the courage to come here,"
"Why do you like this place of darkness?" Uncle deflected Father's questionings.I stepped out of the house. My eyes narrowed as I witnessed my father reveal his extra arms to his brother. Uncle Wu glanced at me, then back to the immediate threat. I had no interest in what they were talking about. Who fought and talked? It seemed more like a distraction than proper fighting. If I were to talk during a fight, it would be to hurt them, to find their weak spots and target them. Call it dirty, but winners need to do what they have to.
"You stayed here only to possess the weapons of Spinjitzu?" Uncle Wu asked, though his expression seemed like he regretted the question.
That's another thing. He was too expressive. I learned early on that if you showed too much feeling during a fight, it showed your opponent how to string you down. It showed them how to manipulate you. It showed them how to make you small and malleable. How was someone like my Uncle Wu training those four boys in the Overworld so well if even his fighting wasn't as good as theirs?
"Yes, brother," Father nodded, sending me a look, "And I refuse to allow you or your petty ninja to stop me!"
My Father, or should I say Lord Garmadon, as that's who he was now fronted as, lunged towards his brother. I stared at the scene with a small smirk on my features and prowled like a cat around them. Uncle defended himself quickly, shoving the Bo Staff out in front of him for protection. But it wasn't enough.
I followed them both as they fought. After so long, my father was finally getting his revenge. It wasn't my place to get involved, but I wanted to. I thought about shoving the sharp side of my Bow into Uncle's ribs and make him topple over. I wanted to kick in the back of his legs so he fell. I wanted to do a lot of things to avenge my father. We should both be free with Lloyd by our side and the Ninja our prisoners.
Wu took that from us.With a final push, Uncle fell off the cliffs edge and slid down into a ditch of mud. My smirk widened. Father and I knew what was down there. We shared a knowing look.
Wu scrambled to his feet, glaring up at us as we sneered down at him. There it was, the movement to alert them. The mud around him started to shift and clump together. Mud Monsters, my favourite thing to annoy down here because of just how much anger they held.
A sick smile found my face. If my father wasn't going to finish off his brother by his own hand, something else would."Brother, I've not come here to--"
"You will pay for your visit," Father growled angrily, "You don't belong here Wu,"
