꧁𓊈𒆜"Chapter Twenty Five"𒆜𓊉꧂
Pick-Me-Up.

Having a mobile home was beneficial for a situation like this. I could barely remember it arriving, I just remembered being helped on board by my Mother and Zane whilst Wu and Father helped Lloyd.

Both of us, barely even conscious, we're forced to take some sort of supplement that tasted terrible. After that, I remember being taken to the bathroom by my Mother and stripped from my clothes then guided into the shower.

Usually I would've been embarrassed, I didn't know her, she was just someone with some title that should make her important to me, but as soon as she began to run a soap covered loofah down my arm, every emotion but one vanished.

I began to cry.

She made no effort to comfort me, but I could see from her wince that she hated it. I think she knew that I needed this, I needed to cry and get everything out. It still felt horrible, breaking down in front of someone who didn't even know me. Letting her see all my scars and unhealed wounds... she was my Mother but I never had her in my life.

I remember her holding my arms and guiding me out of the shower so I didn't slip, then wrapping a towel around me. She dried then brushed my hair, when I looked into the mirror I made a mental note to dye it back to blonde.

She brushed my hair and said something about leaving me alone for a few minutes for privacy, but I didn't reply. I assumed it was for me to use the toilet or something but I couldn't be bothered. Everything inside me ached and my throat hurt and my limbs hurt and my mind was screaming.

I stayed sat on the toilet seat, the towel slumped around my shoulders and my hair brushed back. When Mother entered the bathroom again she visibly slumped, it was obvious that I hadn't even moved an inch.

"Ashton?" She called out to me softly, "Lloyd needs to come in here now,"

"Okay," I swallowed, standing up and grabbing my clothes folded in the corner.

She watched me change with a concerned look on her face. It felt weird having someone care so silently.

After I'd gotten my shirt on, I threw the towel over the heater. Completely ignoring her presence, I let my smoke bleed out into the room.

"Oh, Ashton," She seemed surprised and a little worried at my sudden power usage.

"Lloyd likes the room to be steamy before he has a shower," I replied instantly, my voice still not very receptive to her emotions.
