꧁𓊈𒆜"Chapter Ten"𒆜𓊉꧂
Edibles and Hypotheticals

"You're so tripped. Are you sure this is where you want to be dropped off?" Violet frowned slightly, grabbing my cheeks.

I looked up at her, her face was worried but all I could focus on was the way her ponytail was moving like tentacles around her body.

I smiled, nodding my head.

"I kinda live with them now," I told, frowning for a moment, "Sadly,"

"Jeez, sucks for you," She sniffed, then brought her hands down, tugging on my arms to pull me off the bike.

I wobbled but steadied myself on her.

"Y'know what they say. Get your enemies close and then get your enemies closer," I announced confidently, not expecting the smirk on her face.

"Friends close enemies closer you asswipe," She laughed.

I giggled with her, her words made more sense.

I looked up, the Destiny's Bounty right above us.

"How is a boat in the sky?" I burped after my words, "I think they're pirates secretly. The nindroid keeps a bird with him,"

"Ninja--what?" Violet frowned.

"Nindroid. Robot Ninja," I explained, then brought my hands over to my mouth, "Can someone let me up!"

My holler didn't go unnoticed.

"Fuck, Asher, I'm a wanted criminal!" Violet was quick to put her helmet back on and mount her bike, "Text me when you're sober. Hope you're OK,"

I waved her off and watched the anchor lower slowly. As I ascended the ship by holding into the metal tightly, I felt as if I was watching myself rise.

The dissociation was unreal.

I could see myself holding onto the metal chains, being lifted into the sky. The buildings around me were swaying softly and the citizens below were turning invisible right in front of me.

I felt great, if I thought hard enough, the sky changed to a deep purple... it reminded me of home.

I could make anything happen within my mind. I could think the people were skeletons and make them my army, like my father once did.
