New Years Eve 2021
Taylor's POV:I'm in the bathroom getting ready for the party tonight. I still got two more hours until people are supposed to arrive, luckily only people I know and feel comfortable around (Blake made sure of that) and I've just stepped out of the shower, my hair wrapped in a towel, while I'm putting on a bra that matches the color of the slip I'm already wearing. With a sigh I stand in front of the mirror, that only shows half of my body since it's placed above the sink. Immediately the insecurities kick in and I quickly turn away, not having the strength to face my naked reflection.
I put on my clothes, that were already hanging over the rim of the bathtub. I have decided on a multicolor-checkered skirt and a dark-blue pullover, made out of the softest cotton. It's literally freezing today. I iron my hair until it falls straight down my back before I move on to my make-up, choosing to keep the look a natural one. However I still have doubts about tonight, I'd much rather spend it with Hailey, at least until the hospital's visiting hours are over. I can't though, becaue I promised Blake to stay here today, whether I'm in the mood for a party or not.
"Taylor, are you ready? I could use some help with the decorations!" Blake calls up the stairs.
"I'll be down in a minute." I shout back and comb through my hair one last time, before exiting the bathroom and sauntering down the stairs.
"What can I do?" I want to know from her, while she is examining my outfit. She herself is wearing a red dress, looking as beautiful as ever.
"Amazing, you're here. Could you please find a nice spot for these?" She hands me some banners that have written 'Happy New Year' on them.
"I guess, but I not a pro when it comes to decorating..." I remind her, as I shrug my shoulders shyly.
"Believe me, I know." The blonde chuckles, referring to the one time I tried to help her decorate the living room for Inez's second birthday and absolutely failed.
"But I really don't have time to do it myself. I'm sure you can find some nice spots. It's really not that hard, Tay.""You have no idea. You're to blame if it turns out to look miserable." I point my finger right at her with a serious look on my face, not really meaning it though.
