Taylor's POV:

I don't know how long Blake and I sat outside and just talked until the tiredness washed over me, all guests had basically left and I made my way inside and upstairs.
The next morning I wake up with a slight headache, not sure if yesterday's alcohol is to blame, because I really didn't drink a lot, well at least I wasn't drunk.
I roll out of bed and head downstairs, just to be met with an absolute mess. There's bottles and glasses everywhere, paper plates and paper cups, left over food, cigarette butts...
I hadn't realized the party escalated like that because I spent the hours after the fireworks outside, away from all the buzz.

"Morning." I mumble, when I spot Blake and Ryan in the kitchen while they're attempting to bring some tidiness into the mess.

"Good afternoon, sunshine." The blonde chuckles and sets down the plastic bag she was holding.

"What do you mean?" I asked confused, before looking around.

"It's 3pm, Taylor."

"Excuse me? When the hell did I go to bed?"

"Must've been around 5." Ryan chimes in, immediately grimacing as he picks up some mushed chicken wings off the floor.

"Oh boy." I sigh, rubbing my temples. "By the way Ryan...next time please tell your friends to keep the flirting to themselves..." I say, when I remember last night's conversation with so called Lewis.

"What are you talking about? All my friends are married and you know them all." He shrugs his shoulders, an uncertain look on his face.

"I'm talking about Lewis, your high school friend? He was staring at me the entire evening, his grin was horrifying. He didn't do anything don't worry but anyway it was annoying. He was the only one I didn't know out of everyone."

Ryan's confusion only increases at my words. He looks down before looking up again.

"Taylor...I don't have a friend called Lewis. Are you sure?" He questions.

"Stop kidding, it's not funny. He shook my hand, told me his name was Lewis and that he knew you from high school." I reply, my body slightly tensing up.

"I don't know a Lewis either." Blake interferes but before I can respond anything else, my phone chimes in my pocket, indicating a new message. I take it out and read the text over and over again, my eyes filling with tears as my heart starts racing.

Tree: Your whereabouts have been leaked. Call me ASAP.

That's it. My life is over. I have been so careful. Nobody knew anything about me or the fact that I now have a daughter. To the world I didn't exist anymore, until now apparently. My hands start shaking.

"What's wrong?" My best friend wants to know and moves closer to me. Without a word I hand her my phone. She quickly reads the message I just received from Tree.
"No way...how is that possible?"

I don't show any reaction. My whole body goes numb while I'm staring at nothing in particular.

"Tay?" Blake squeezes my shoulder. "Tay, it will be fine."

Tears start rolling down my face. Still unable to move I remain in my trance. I feel the couple's eyes on me and the fear building within their bodies. I can tell they too are struggling to find the right words.

"We'll stack up on security." Ryan's voice echoes through the room, however it's muffled.

"I need to see Hailey." Is all I reply before storming out of the kitchen. If Joe knows where I am, it's just a matter of time until he finds out where Hailey is. Blake runs after me, stopping me right before I can open the front door.

"You cannot leave now.
It's too dangerous." She tells me and holds on to my arm.

"I need to protect her! Let go of me!" I snap.

"You'll lead them right to her, Taylor! What do you wanna do? She can't leave the hospital anyway. If you wanna keep her a secret, the best solution is to stay here, in this house."

"Joe will find her, Blake!" I cry out.

"He'll find her quicker if the world knows about her and the place she's at." The blonde explains. "We need a plan first."

"It was him! That Lewis guy! He is some kind of spy! How the hell did he get in here in the first place? I swear to god! Joe warned me it wasn't over! This is a catastrophe!" My blood starts to boil and the tears escaping my eyes are as hot as ever.

"You might be right. Let's call Tree first, hm?" Blake agrees and gently strokes my arm she has now let go of.

She leads me to the living room and we sit down on the couch, my whole body still trembling in fear and anger. The blonde grabs my phone and dials Tree's number before putting her on speaker. I had told Tree everything a few weeks ago, just left out a few unimportant details. She offered to come to LA but I assured her that there was no need.

"Taylor

"Taylor...it's all over the news. Everybody knows you're staying in LA at Blake Lively's house." The redhead's voice echoes through the phone. "Somebody must have found out."

"I know who it was, I assume at least" I reply dryly, wiping a tear off my cheek.

"Who?"

"We had a party yesterday and there was this guy. He introduced himself as a friend of Ryan's but turns out that he wasn't. His name is Lewis, I don't know if that's his real name tho." I inform my publicist.

"I'll see what I can find out. Until then please keep your feet still. Don't leave the house and more importantly don't go to the hospital!" She warns.

"But what about Hailey?"

"Have someone check on her or I don't know FaceTime the nurses. I'll call and explain the situation to them okay? I know it's hard but it's for both of your sakes. You can't risk a wrong move or this will blow up in your face and Joe will try to take your daughter away from you."

"HE DIDN'T WANT HER IN THE FIRST PLACE!" I lose my temper.

"I know and he's not getting her. I gotta go. Hang in there."

A/N: It's a shorter one but we gotta keep it thrilling!
