Kayla POV
Once we walked back into the house we were attacked by everyone. We didn't even make it past the entrance.
Where were you?
Are you ok?
What took you so long?
How are you feeling?
Are you tired?
Do you want to rest?
I was getting whip lash trying to follow who was asking what. My mother and father were there, Zane, the other two men I saw outside, and another woman with brown hair that I didn't recognize.
"Stop!" I yelled once I couldn't take anymore. "Yes I am fine. I went into the woods. I am not tired and I do not want to rest. I was scared, so I ran. I'm sorry to make you all worry."
I grabbed Bryson's hand and led him past everyone, with shocked faces, into the living room and sat us down on the couch.
"What are we doing?" he whispered.
"Waiting for them to come in and sit down with us." I said with a smile. "I want answers!" I said loud enough for everyone to hear.
I waited patiently with my hand in Bryson's as everyone filed into the living room and found a place to sit. It was a good thing this room was so big and well-furnished or we would have been cramped, well that and the older men decided to stand.
"Where would you like to begin dear?" My father asked.
I wanted to start firing questions at my father first and yell at him for keeping secrets but my head directed to me the tall muscular man leaning against the wall. I remembered seeing him in all the pictures with Bryson, hmm, I bet that's his father. Power was rolling off of him in waves. Yes, I would start with him.
"Are you a wolf too?" I asked the man.
"Yes, I am." He smiled. "I'm Grant, Bryson's father and the Alpha."
"Alpha? Meaning you're in charge?" I asked.
"Yes. That man," he said pointing to a tall man with black hair, "is Jake Owens, he is Zane's father and my beta. Meaning he is second in charge." I smiled and nodded, encouraging him to go on. I was hoping that he would answer some of my questions with his basic explanation of people. "That means that Zane and his father are wolves too, and that beautiful brunette next to your mother is my mate, and pack Luna, Kara."
I looked over at Bryson's mom and smiled. She was beautiful and buff, but not in the gross over done way, I'm pretty sure she was stronger than my dad though.
"I'm a wolf too." She smiled. Her voice was so calm and loving I couldn't help but smile again. "And Luna means that I too, am in charge." I laughed slightly at that.
"Why are you all so fit?" I couldn't stop it from coming out of my mouth.
Everyone laughed at my bluntness and I could feel the heat rushing to my face. I looked down at my lap and willed the blush to go away.
Bryson reached up and brushed his fingers across my cheek. My head popped up and we made eye contact. Not my best idea, I got sucked into his eyes and couldn't look away.
Someone cleared their throat. The blush came back full force. Dang it.
"We are wolves, being fit comes with the territory. When we turn wolf it works our human bodies a lot. A lot of us also work-out in human form to stay strong." Alpha Grant answered.
