Kayla POV

We all stopped and watched the man.  He had long black hair, slicked back into a tight pony tail, he wore gray sweat pants and a white fitted t-shirt, and big heavy looking black boots covered his feet. He would have been considered good looking, if the fact that he was scary as hell didn't get in the way. He had a long scar that went from the corner of his left eye brow down to his chin. It didn't take away from his looks, it only added a scarier feel to his appearance. He was definitely an Alpha; I could feel the power coming off of him.

As he stepped further into the clearing a large amount of wolves and un-shifted wolves, i was guessing, made their way out from the covering of the trees. We were completely surrounded, I didn't feel so much like a Luna anymore. I felt like I should have stopped the escape when I knew something was off about it, but I didn't. My heart will forever carry the guilt if anyone dies because of me.

"Now, why in the world are you trying to foil my plans little girl?" The man asked, looking directly into my eyes.

"You're stealing people!" I yelled, "It's wrong!" All I got in response was a disturbing laugh, which lasted far longer than needed.

I looked over at Arissa and she shot me a look that let me know she thought the guy was a nut job too. Her look shifted into one of shock as she continued to stare at me. I slowly realized the problem, I was no longer staring at the vampire version of my friend. I was staring at my Arissa, and I had a feeling that I was no longer the skank, I wondered how long it had been like that. I shrugged, not much we could do about now.

My indifference switched to horror immediately when the white haired witch joined the conversation.

"That's the Seer," She said loudly. "I saw right through your little disguise." She had Josh standing right next to her, and they both shared the same sadistic smile. The pair was certainly the type of people you wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley, or anywhere really.

"Ah, May has told me so much about you. A human Luna, who also happens to see the future." He clapped his hands together, excitement shone brightly on his face, "It's truly amazing, you will be very helpful to my pack, if I let you live."

For a moment the only thing my mind registered was her name. May, really? For such a big pain in the ass, she sure had a cute little name. It was like false advertising.

"Why didn't you just take me when you figured it out?" I asked May, when my mind had finally caught on to the conversation.

"I thought it would be fun to watch you try," She laughed, "and I was right. The satisfaction that was on your face when you opened that door was priceless."

"You're disgusting," I spat.

May threw her head back and let out the most evil cackle I had ever heard. A few of the other men surrounding us gave small chuckles also. I really didn't see what was so funny, and apparently Josh didn't either, because he was looking at me with so much disgust, you would think I was a rotting piece of flesh he had just found on the ground.

May's laughter disappeared almost as quickly as it had begun, "You're all gonna die," She said in a sickly sweet voice.

'Keep their attention,' Bryson linked me, before I had a chance to respond.

'You're here?' I asked, trying to keep the excitement out of my expression. The relief I felt was almost as amazing as having sex, almost.

'I am.

"It's not going to happen like that, bitch," I said with a new found strength. I had back-up, which meant I was allowed to let my own bitch flag fly.
