Kayla POV
One more day, that's all we had. Tomorrow was the first day back at school.
I was sitting in the living room of my parents' house with my three amazing witches, finally.
We were having a ton of problems getting all of us away from the boys at the same time. Especially Loni and Andrew, I had a feeling those two were mates, but since she hadn't brought it up, I left it alone. That was actually really hard for me. I really, really wanted to know.
Michelle came up with the amazing idea to tell the boys that we wanted a girl's day at my house, and no boys were allowed under any circumstances. I think the boys only agreed because we were going right next door, and we wouldn't shut up about it; that part was my idea.
My parents were doing rounds at the local hospital, which left us with a completely empty house, perfect for our current needs.
We needed to get the final details worked out for our plan, especially since there would be guards around the school. I can't even begin to tell you how angry that made me. We had only been able to talk about it in passing, only getting out a sentence or two to eachother before one of the boys popped up.
I had my music turned up full blast in my room, while we were all downstairs. It would be enough noise to muffle our conversation if the boys happened to come around.
We had succeeded in keeping them in the dark so far, but they knew we were up to something. Every time I would feel Bryson poking around my mind, I would start singing Ke$ha songs inside my head, as loud as possible. I'm pretty sure he has got to know the words to a few of her songs by now.
Arissa sang N'SYNC songs, just to be extra mean, and I even heard Zane humming Bye, Bye, Bye the other day. So, I'm going to guess our tactics were working.
We were all sitting around in our pajamas with green gooey masks on our faces. I figured we might as well be prepared in case the boys didn't listen and came barging in, plus I really liked doing face masks.
"Alright, how do we side step the guards?" I asked, popping a chip into my mouth.
"A distraction?" Loni asked.
"Duh," was my brilliant Luna response.
"I could blow something up," Michelle shrugged.
"Oh, I love a good explosion," I answered happily. "The bigger, the better, we want them gone long enough for us to get in and gone without them even noticing."
"The wolves can't see you though," Arissa chimed in.
Wow, way to kill my happy mood.
I glanced over at Michelle and watched as her face fell, Arissa had made a great point. If any wolves saw her, they would know she wasn't supposed to be there. It wouldn't take them long to put the two things together. I shuddered at the thought of them interrogating her to find us.
"Um, guys, she can just disguise herself," Loni chimed in, "Ya know, the way you two are."
"I feel really lame for not thinking of that," Arissa said quietly.
"Ok," i said, bringing all the attention to me, "Michelle will disguise herself and go to school. Then she will blow something up and we will get out, disguise ourselves, and get caught. Michelle will then sneak back out and head home. Once we get to the holding room, wherever it is, we will activate the tracker spell." I finished.
"Once the tracker spell is activated from your end, you'll contact Bryson, and I'll wait for him to come to me. Then, I'll activate it from my end, if he doesn't kill me." Michelle continued.
"Last but not least, the boys come riding in with all their extra helpers and we save the world." Arissa concluded, clapping her hands together..
"Don't forget the fact that we all get yelled at to no end once everyone is back safely," Loni added.
"Ah, yes. Thank you for that reminder," I spoke sarcastically. "You're just one big bag of helpful information, Loni"
We had about an hour left on our allotted girl's time, we agreed to be back for quality time before bed with the boys. We decided that we would finish off our night by painting our nails in outrageously bright colors.
Once our faces were clear of the goo and our nails were dry, we all walked back to Bryson's house, parting ways once we got to the second floor hallway.
I walked into Bryson's room without knocking and found him sitting on the bed against the headboard, with papers spread out all around him. More Alpha work.
"You look busy," I said, slipping my jacket off.
"Not at all," he said looking up at me, "Just trying to keep my mind off you."
"Why would you wanna do that?"
"Because you said I couldn't interrupt your girl's night." He laughed.
I nodded my head slowly and walked over to the bed. I grabbed all the papers that were littered around and stacked them up on his desk.
"So, what's all this about?" I asked motioning to the papers.
"Just reading over more of my father's files, trying to find more packs we can call a favor in to."
"Oh, how is that going?"
"Well, so far we have four packs that have agreed to send help. If my math is right, we have about 75 extra wolves." He replied, stretching his body out, "We are planning on hitting the Oakridge pack on Friday, so I should have enough time to meet with another pack and hopefully boost our numbers up to 100."
"Wow, that's great babe."
I smiled to him and then turned towards his dresser to pull out one of his shirts to sleep in.
It hit me then that there was a chance that tonight could be my last time sleeping with him. If things went bad tomorrow, I may never see him again. Tomorrow is the unknown, anything could happen.
That one thought had completely changed my course of action. I wanted to do something that would take every nervous thought out of my head. I wanted to do something that would make me forget the possibilities of tomorrow. Hell, I wanted to do something that would make me forget my own name.
I turned around and slowly pulled my tank top over my head, "So, are you all done occupying your mind?" I asked.
Bryson nodded. His eyes raked over my body and he visibly gulped.
I smiled to myself as I leisurely undid the button on my jeans and shimmied them down my legs, leaving me in only a pink lacy bra and matching panties.
I walked slowly over to the bed and positioned myself on Bryson's lap, one of my legs on each side of him.
"Wanna occupy my mind now?" I asked.
Of course he didn't say no.
