"What do you think they're talking about?" Lyra broke the silence as the three sat there, waiting for the other two to come out.
"Probably not something good..." sighed Zeke as he pinched the bridge of his nose in thought.
"Maybe it's something minor or -" Val was cut off by the door opening.
Atlan was the first to step through.
"Everyone pack your bags. We need to go now," his voice was stern with a look of worry plastered on his face.
"Wait, what?" Lyra sat up quickly.
"We'll explain on the way, just hurry..." Celeste spoke up, voice hard, and cold.
"No! This is our home! You can't just make us leave without-"
"Zeke! That is enough! Get your things and let's go!" Atlan snapped suddenly.
The younger three flinched at the demon's sudden outburst.
"I'm sorry... But there is no time for yelling... Just get packed." The white-eyed man bowed his head in shame.
Zeke was the first to turn away to his room, followed by Lyra and Val.
The two left in the room stood in silence for a few short moments before the demon turned to their shared room to get packing.
After about 15 minutes, the five were ready to head off.
"Can you please explain what is happening now?" Val asked before the other two could.
"Yes, but we have to move while we do..." Celeste nodded.
As the group began their journey, Celeste started to go into detail about what she saw while on her routine morning fly.
She described overhearing a conversation from a group of humans discussing the potential location of their hideout while perched in a tree during a break. The humans had cages trailing behind them, with one being covered.
"Sorry I snapped at you, Cel..." muttered Zeke
"Don't sweat it... I understand."
With that, no words were uttered as they trekked to a clearing in the forest.
"We'll stay here for the night and continue to the border in the morning..." explained the crow avian as she set down her bag.
"Where do we go from there?" Question Lyra as she fiddled with the straps on her bag.
"We'll cut through the Centaur territory into the Mage island," stated Atlan while pulling out a tent bag.
"Why there? And how are we going to cross the water to the island?" Inquired Val.
"We could always steal a boat," suggested Zeke.
"We can keep planning tomorrow, for now, let's set up camp and get some rest..." yawned Lyra.
