The group jolted forward as the wagon halted to a stop. A key rattled in the door before it creaked open - revealing the blond man from outside.

"Good. The bird is awake." he smirked. "Come get the rodents!" he called out to his goons.

Atlan's hand tightened around Celeste's before they were roughly forced away from each other.

It wasn't long before they all were separated and thrown into cells in pairs. Celeste with Theo. Atlan with Lyra. Zeke with Val.

"This is bad," Atlan groaned as he slid down the wall in the corner.

"It could be worse. We could be dead." Lyra tried to reassure the demon.

"Oh yeah, because that's very comforting!" He continued to panic.

"Well, now I can tell the others I tried to save you from your inevitable downward spiral..." The girl hung herself upside-down from the bed.

Atlan glared at her. "You make it sound like I do this often..."

She chuckled. " That's because you do, my friend!" She paused, looking more serious. "I do get that you're worried. Trust me, I know what it feels like..."

"I know you do... You had it rough before us. We all did. Still, this is new. I don't know what that guy wants, but it can't be anything good."

Now, with Val and Zeke, both anxious, but the researcher was descending into total panic.

"We'll be fine, V. You know Atlan, he probably has a plan that will get us out of here by dinner - or whatever time is soon..."

"No, Zeke! This is really fucking bad! We are trapped!" She started gesturing wildly. "This is a cage! Cages are meant to keep things in! We don't have-"

"What about the acid? Can't we just bust out of here and get the others on the way out?" Zeke interrupted her.

"No! They took it on the way in!"

"Ok! Ok... Just calm down and take a breath..."

"How am I supposed to be calm!"

Meanwhile, with Celeste and Theo, Celeste was having a similar panic but more silent.

"Celeste? You alright there?"

She silently nodded.

You're awfully quiet..." Theo twiddled his thumbs anxiously.

"I'm fine Theo..." The crow muttered.

The mage decided to put his concerns aside for now and focus on getting out of whatever prison they were trapped in.
