The group of: Val, Zeke, Celeste, and Theo made their way through the seemingly endless halls - banging on the cell doors to find Atlan and Lyra. After a while, Zeke banged on the right door and heard his friends yelling on the other side.
"Hold on! Theo's going to open the door! Step back!" He called as he backed up, and Theo readied himself in front of the door.
Lyra and Atlan exchanged nervous glances as they wondered how the mage could get them out. The room started to get hotter as they both managed to understand. It took slightly longer as Theo was already wiped out and had to take short breathers every few minuets. He couldn't even finish with the door before a hoard of guards came running down the hallway.
Val and Celeste jumped into action immediately and began fighting them off while Zeke stayed behind to protect Theo.
"Guys? What's going on out there?!" Lyra screamed as she heard the commotion.
"We're fine! Just stay away from the door!" Zeke assured as he kicked away a guard that got past the other two women.
The three fought and fought until Theo called for the avian to grab the two inside the cell.
Zeke managed to catch the drained mage just before he hit the hard stone floor. This, however, came with a cost as a tall guard tackled the two men. One thing this guard didn't know was that Lyra was freakishly strong. She flipped the man onto the floor and went back to fighting a female guard who had tried to trip her up.
The newly reunited fought until all of the guards were unable to keep going. After a quick exchange of hugs, the six of them began trying to find a way out. Well, rather five as Theo had passed out and was being carried on Zeke's back.
Val peeked over at the pair. "Seriously, Lyra. How long is this going to take?"
"Wish I could answer that scales." The ginger shrugged.
"Scales? Really?"
