After another day of sailing, the five made it to the port of the mage island. It was decided to have: Lyra and Val using their hair as a way to cover their ears, Zeke would wear a beanie, Atlan would wear sunglasses and Celeste would wear a big jacket with a large beanie to cover her wings and ear feathers.
After a few hours of walking through the forest, evening fell and the group stumbled onto a large house in a large clearing of the trees.
"I don't think this is in our budget..." joked Zeke.
Suddenly, the big, oak door swinged open, revealing a pale skinned mage with piercing green eyes and violet short hair.
"Hello, travellers! Would you like to come inside?" his voice was carefree and light as he welcomed them in.
Atlan and Celeste turned to the other three.
"All in favour say I" Atlan raised his hand.
Everyone else agreed and they went inside.
"The name's Anthony. I have one or two other people living here but they shouldn't bother you,"
"Thanks for letting us in," Val spoke up.
"If you need, you can even stay the night or until tomorrow afternoon!" Anthony offered as they walked through the halls of the house.
The house wasn't grand or lavish but it was certainly expensive. Two stories high, who knows how many rooms.
"How do you afford all this?" Lyra looked around curiously.
"I make good money with good people," he smiled.
Zeke's eyes narrowed. He couldn't quite put his finger on it but he knew something was off.
