The group positioned themselves behind a warehouse; eyeing the docks as they went over the plan.
"Everyone got that?" Atlan looked around the group, turning back when every member nodded.
"Let's fucking go," Lyra cracked her knuckles.
Celeste, Lyra and Val separated from the group which left the two men to distract the sailors.
"Put this on," Atlan threw a long, dark cloak over Zeke's head.
"Hate to break it to you, boss but I think this isn't my size..." the blond held up the hooded cloak - revealing it to be a good eight feet long.
"It's a centaur cloak for the winter. It should cover both of us."
"Elaborate?"
"I'll be the horse; you be the head."
"Ah great..."
Meanwhile, with the women of the team, Val had dived into the water - displaying just how fast of a swimmer she was. Val snuck under the boat and dove down to the anchor: preparing to cut the rope.
"Oh this is going to take a while..." muttered as she saw the thickness of the rope.
Zeke and Atlan had (somehow) managed to get the cloak to work and it kind of actually looked like Zeke was a centaur.
"I hope the others are fast, my back's already killing me..." mumbled Atlan as he desperately tried to stay in sync with Zeke.
"Quit complaining, gramps. You were the one who insisted on us being the distraction..."
"Hey! I did not insist!"
"Shut up. We're getting close to the port."
The pair continued walking through markets and towns until they reached the docks.
"Excuse me, sir!" Zeke called out to a man who appeared to be a tradesman for the port.
"What do you want, boy?" the man grumbled in a low voice.
"I'm just wondering if you're offering any- uh... jobs...?" Zeke wished he had planned ahead before making himself very known.
"What makes you think I'm hirin'?"
"Well with a... good man such as yourself..." he chuckled nervously.
The salesman wrenched out a laugh as her turned to the other centaurs around him "You hear that? This kid thinks he can work with us!"
"Rude..." the blond coughed.
The man whipped his head around to face Zeke.
"What did you call me, boy?" the now noticeably strong man started to approach them.
"Oh nothing! Nothing, really..."
The other, also very strong-looking, centaurs started to crowd around Zeke and Atlan. The demon started to become aware of this and whispered to Zeke "Fuck it."
And with that, their cover was blown in seconds with Atlan abruptly standing up, cloak flying off, unsheathing a small dagger.
"They're humans!" one salesman yelled.
"No! That one's got pointy ears! Mage!" a saleswoman pointed from behind a stand.
"Look at his eyes! Idiots, he's a demon!" the original salesman exclaimed.
With the salespeople bickering for that short while, Atlan and Zeke took the opportunity and made a break for the boats, looking for either of the other three.
Celeste, seeing the commotion, soared into the air above the boat Val was trying to cut the anchor on while Lyra cleared the boat of any people.
Seeing the crow woman above one of the boats, the two men rushed onto the deck of the ship.
"Glad you two made it! Now we have to wait for Val to give us the go ahead. In the meantime, get this thing ready to sail!" Lyra rushed up to them after throwing off unnecessary weight for the ship (trunks and other things).
"Speaking of, how's V doing with the anchor?" Zeke looked over the brim of the boat.
"Um... Good question! VAL!" Celeste butted in.
A muffled shout came from the water.
"I'm trying! Give me five seconds!"
"How strong is that rope?" Atlan asked rhetorically.
"Pretty fucking strong!" Val responded as she emerged from the water and began climbing a rope.
"Let's go!" ordered Zeke.
