"Got it!" Val held up the tube of acid proudly.
"Good work. Let's wait until we arrive at whatever prison we're being taken to so we can plan an attack later down the line."
Atlan returned to talk with his now awake wife.
Meanwhile, Zeke and Theo were muttering to each other in their adjacent cells.
"Even if it's not happening yet, I'm still worried about the acid." Zeke leaned over to Theo.
"I know. But this is Val we're talking about. I'm sure she'll be the one to pour the acid anyway. "
"I don't think the amount will matter. For shit's sake, Theo, it'll be strong enough to burn through metal! I don't want to think about what it could do to your skin. "
Theo's purple eyes narrowed in concern. "Stop thinking like that. I'm willing to take the risk if it means getting out of here."
The two sat in silence for a few moments before Zeke turned to face the mage.
"I don't get why we can't just burn the chains, get out, and remove the stupid gauntlets later..."
"Would you rather fight with a flamethrower or without?" He joked, causing at least a tiny smirk from the blond.
