I delved into physics

I delved into physics. I divided motion and rotation into two separate entities, but my personal life started to bleed through the endless pages. I was starting to get bitter at the fact I was placing my anger on people who didn't deserve it–and I wasn't able to stop. Maybe it was my dismissal for trying to think things through, or maybe even my logic was becoming corrupt, but it made me even angrier to think about.

My phone rang, and I didn't hesitate to pick it up, pressing the device between my ear and shoulder. "Hello?"

"Are you done studying now, bubblegum girl?" I looked up and saw Riki waiting with his umbrella, leaning against my house gate.

"How long have you been there!?" I quickly closed my book and grabbed my bag, hearing him chuckle on the other end. "You should've told me that you were here. I would've come out!"

"I didn't want to mess up your focus," I raced down the stairs and grabbed my keys, exiting the house in the process. "Don't rush, I'll still be here."

I didn't listen. I locked the door behind me and looked into the rain, seeing him waving. I smiled and jogged toward him, entering his space bubble. He grabbed my hand and grinned softly, exchanging a romantic stare with me. "Are your parents home?"

"No, they're busy tonight. Mother went out with her friends and Dad is working late," I cursed myself mentally when I switched up the formalities in their names. Luckily, Riki didn't seem to think about it. "I have some time to spare if you want to go somewhere."

"I don't have a select location–I just want to be with you," That warmed my heart. Although that emotion-maker was a bit swollen right now, Riki knew how to make her happy. Delicate in all her glory, at least there was one person who wasn't afraid of her. We began our walk, hand in hand, with his umbrella over us.

I could've sworn that his shoulder was getting wet, so I squeezed in. "Are you cold?" Riki asked, causing me to shake my head.

"I just don't want you to get sick. The rain makes the area around here pretty humid, so I don't want the change of weather to upset your body," Riki chuckled, kissing the crown of my head.
