Loona held Balin's hand through the streets of Imp City as they walked all the way down to I.M.P, and no matter where they went, people always stopped and commented on him.
"What a cute little Dalmatian pup he is." a succubus demon cooed, as he and a hellhound girl walked past them.
"T-Thank you. You're very nice." Balin smiled, pretending to wag his tail.
"Awww, you're welcome, kind little one." said the succubus as they walked away. "Bye-bye now."
"Well what do ya know?" Loona smirked inside her head as she continued looking on her phone. "3 minutes and dudes are already taking a liking to him."
"Hey, can I whisper something to you Loona?" Balin asked. "Sure sweetie, anything." she crouched down to his level and perked her ear up for him. She kept twitching it in his cheek as a way of tickling him, but then stopped to listen.
"I think the chocolate is working." he whispered very quietly to her. "Oh? Well I'm glad. I think so too."
"I mean, I am still sorry that I wasted all that candy on myself. I really thought it would help me blend in more." Balin still felt a little guilty about that.
"Nah, don't worry about it bud." Loona said rubbing his back. "Most demons are idiots, so they wouldn't recognise you underneath it. But hey, I think it's very creative."
"I mean... you do taste good whenever I give you my doggy-kisses, but now you'll be so much better once I eat you up." she teased him. "Like a lollipop, didn't you say?"
"Loona, stop! What if someone hears us?" Balin giggled. "Oh. You're right. Sorry. Come on." she grabbed hold of his hand again and kept moving forward. Until they were stopped again.
"Hello there. You're so cute." this demon was a hybrid. Part witch, part leopard. "Thank you?" Balin said feeling uncomfortable, while Loona was in awe of his modesty on the outside. But inside, she thought it was adorable. Yep, she was never the one to be too public about what she likes and what she doesn't like. But, who can blame her?
"Is it okay if I pet you real quick?" the hybrid demon asked. "Sure." Balin lowered his head and exposed his ears to let her do her magic. Her touch didn't do much since hellhound ears are more sensitive than a human's, both hearing and feeling, so Balin decided to pretend all the way through. But as she stroked his chin, he just kicked his foot up and down by his own instinct.
"Why thank you little hellpup, you and your mother have a great day today, alright?" she booped his nose before she left. "Thanks ma'am." "Uh... w-whatever." Loona stuttered a little feeling blushy at the moment. She was kinda touched to see Balin act so cute for her like that, even though he felt masked as a hellhound puppy.
Nevertheless though, the two continued with their journey to I.M.P, and they eventually made it there.
INSIDE I.M.P:
"Alright kiddo, we're here." Loona and Balin set foot inside the building, with Balin taking a big sigh of relief. "Finally!"
"Quite the ordeal walking to work, isn't it?" Loona smiled, gently stroked behind his fake ears for fun. Balin blushed feeling her touch.
Soon, Loona perked her ears up on purpose to see if there was anyone in the halls or if the gang was in the office ready for the day. And indeed they were, but with someone else.
"OK Balin, the coast is clear." Loona said, as she and Balin began walking up the stairs to the office together. "Now remember, whenever we're outside the office, I want you to stay close to me at all times. No wandering off, and if anything gets messy, you hide behind me or anywhere else close to us. Okay?"
