Keigo dragged his eyes open, squinting a bit as the mid-morning sun streamed in from the window. With a groan he rubbed his eyes with the heels of his palms before sitting up.

He had fallen asleep on the living room couch, having been too high strung to get comfortable in bed. He had wandered back out to the living room and turned on some mindless TV, falling asleep to the chatter of some late night talk shows. Now the TV was playing through some generic sitcom re-run.

Dropping his hands down, Keigo glanced around a bit numbly.

Aizawa had managed to land him one of the empty apartments in the building next to his on UA's campus. After all, Keigo's had been destroyed during the League's attack.

He sighed and pushed himself to his feet, grabbing the TV remote and switching it off before making his way to the kitchen to grab a glass of water.

Yesterday had been...He really didn't like talking about his life. It had been hard enough when Dabi made him realize what a fucking horrible childhood he'd had, and harder still admitting it to himself. Having to go over it with Detective Tsukauchi had been draining.

It was one thing, talking it over with Aizawa and Dabi. People who knew him. People who were on his side. But to have a complete stranger look appalled at what he'd been through? It kind of drove the point home.

The Commission was evil, even if they hid behind heroic deeds.

Kind of like Endeavor, Keigo thought wryly as he finished his glass of water.

He was glad he met with Tsukauchi, though the plan he and Aizawa came up with...would it even work? From personal experience, Keigo knew that the Commission was hard to trick. What the detective had schemed up would require a lot of pieces falling into place.

The sound of a crow cawing twice broke him out of his thoughts. He looked over to the coffee table, where his phone was sitting, notification light blinking. He'd gotten a new phone since he'd lost the other one in the mess of everything. Dabi had set that text notification sound for himself after he'd managed to steal Keigo's new phone without him looking.

He huffed in amusement as he made his way over and picked it up.

Dabs, 10:41am
please tell me you aren't busy right now

Keigo paused before typing out a reply.

Keigo, 10:41am
I just woke up.

Dabi replied almost instantly.

Dabs, 10:41am
i need your help

Keigo raised an eyebrow curiously.

Keigo, 10:42am
I need you to be more specific than that, bud

Dabs, 10:42am
we have watched this goddamn monsters inc movie a million times and guess what eri wants to do right now

Keigo laughed.

Keigo, 10:42am
Gee I wonder why she'd be attached to a movie where a guy portrayed as a scary monster befriends a little girl.

Dabs, 10:43am
stfu and get over here to distract her

Shaking his head with amusement, Keigo went to his room and picked up a shirt he'd tossed on the comforter. He sniffed it and decided it was clean, shooting back a quick text then swapping out his shirt.

Keigo, 10:44am
Can't.

Dabs, 10:44am
why the hell not

Pulling on a jacket, Keigo gave a stretch to finish waking himself up. He scooped up his empty duffel bag before heading towards the door.
