CHAPTER 13

Meeting equinox is like meeting an old friend.

The familiar feeling of comfort slowly embraces me like warm rays of sunshine in the morning.

Equinox was my solace. Their music brought me so much happiness. They made me love colors that I used to be afraid before. Dark colors that used to scare me suddenly became beautiful and lively because of them. I couldn’t contain the emotions I am feeling right now. It’s too much. . . but also. . . too good.

We were now talking about the rules and regulations here in the company. My eyes were focused on her but I can still feel someone’s gaze on me.

That’s why you are here. You will be Heath’s makeup artist.”

My eyes instantly landed on Heath.

He was leaning on his chair and his elbow was on the armrest. His fingers keeps on playing on his lips. I saw his playful grin when he noticed that I was looking at him.

She left me here and told me to talk with them para raw maging komportable kami sa isa’t-isa.

I don’t know how to start the conversation.

“Uhh. . . no. . .” mahina kong sagot.

At bakit nga tatawag? Oh.   . I thought he was long over that.

“Shut up, Milo.” Heath coldly said. He stood up on his seat and slowly walk towards me. I suddenly had a flashback of what happened years ago. It was exactly like this.

My eyes roamed his body. I’ve seen it in pictures. . . but it was a lot more good in person. Starting from his broad shoulders, my eyes went to his chest. . . then to his muscled arms. The veins on it were effortlessly popping out. It’s tightly fitted on him, and now the traces of his body were visible. He tucked it in his black pants.

There was amusement written in his eyes.

“Done checking me out?” He asked. Nag-init ang mukha ko dahil sa kahihiyan. Shit! He was watching me!
