Marjorie was walking through the corridors of her nursery. She saw two parents walking towards her. She smiled "Hello! You both okay?"

A parent looked her up and down before speaking. "Yeah, just here to drop off a sun hat for my little one."

"That's good. It's really warm today, so they could use that extra protection." Marjorie smiled at them. "I'll leave you to it." Marjorie walked off towards to staff bathrooms.

As Marjorie locked the door behind her, she could hear the parents slightly mumbling. "If she's gonna wear a top like that, she should at least have the body for it." Marjorie heard them whispering and giggling through the door. Her heart dropped, but she'd never show it on her face.

It's not a rare occasion that this happening to Marjorie. She's often body shamed to her face and behind her back. However, she's always learned to hide her emotions when it comes to people insulting her insecurities. If it's done behind her back, she'll never speak to the parent again. However, if it's said to her face, she argues back, not letting the hurt show on her face.

If anyone was around to hear while these comments were made about Marjorie, she'd always brush it off before the other person has a say. She'd assure the person that other people's words don't affect her, and if they tried to argue back she'd cut them off. It has happened a few times with Autumn, but Autumn knows she'll never win that argument with Marjorie.

Marjorie would fake a smile all day, but then when she gets home all she'd do is cry, as all the hurtful comments her mother made about her would flood back into her memory. It always confused her why those thoughts would come back to her, she was supposed to be happy, she doesn't understand why she can't let go.

However, it's different now. Now that she's moved in with Reece, she can't just go home to her room and cry, she never wants Reece to see her like that.

After that interaction with those parents earlier, she got home, Reece was already there sat on the sofa. Marjorie realised that she now has to continuously fake a smile. "Hey, gorgeous." He smiled, getting up from the couch and walking over to her. "How was work?" He approached her and gave her a kiss.

"It was fine." She replied, not looking at him in the eyes. She slowly slipped away from him and headed to the kitchen, she pulled out her laptop and started to finish off her reports.

Reece stared at her from the doorway. "Marjorie, you overwork yourself too much." He starts, walking over towards her. "Take a break, these reports don't go out until two weeks time anyways." He steps behind her and places his hand on her back.

Marjorie knew he was right, however overworking herself can keep her distracted from all the bottled emotions that's building up in her right now. She sighed "i know, i just want to finish these two."

Reece looked at her concerned, he could tell there was something off with her. "Marjorie, are you okay?"

Those four words would be enough for Marjorie to breakdown then and there, however she wasn't going to let her thoughts win. "Yeah, im fine." She spoke back, still not looking at him. Before he could speak up, she quickly said "im gonna go in the shower." She shut down her laptop and rushed to the bathroom, not letting Reece say another word to her about how she feels.

As she locked the bathroom door, she leaned against the wall and placed her hands over her face. She felt bad, she didn't mean to make Reece concerned about her. She just wants to forget everything that happened in her past, not constantly relive it every time someone has something to say about her and her body. She didn't understand why those thoughts keep running through her head.

As Marjorie got into the shower, she silently sobbed to herself, not wanting Reece to hear her. She felt a bit better, after letting some of her tears out. After 20 minutes, she hopped out the shower, and dried herself before joining Reece on the sofa.

"Second part of Bridgerton?" She asked him.

He looked at her and raised his eyebrows. "Is the grass green?" He sarcastically said, causing Marjorie to laugh. He smiled and said "there's that gorgeous smile we all love."

She jokingly rolled her eyes and rested her head on Reece's chest. Being close to Reece is comforting to Marjorie, she felt safe next to him. He can so easily help lift her mood, and that's what she loved the most about him.
