As Reece was dealing with Terrance at his nursery. Marjorie had pulled aside the two women she trusts the most, Autumn and Charlotte. As she walked into the nursery this morning, she pulled them both into her office and explained what happened to her years ago. The girls both shared their love for Marjorie and comforted her as she spoke up. Marjorie felt a huge weight off her shoulders as she finally built up the courage to tell them.
The nursery had opened so Charlotte wondered off back into the room, leaving Marjorie and Autumn alone in the office. Autumn shared a few glances at Marjorie before speaking up. "Are you okay?" She asked.
Marjorie looked over at Autumn. "Yeah, i'm fine. Better than I was." She replied. She was behind truthful.
Autumn slightly nodded in response. "I'm sorry all that happened to you. No one should go through that."
Marjorie smiled. She has always felt safe around Autumn, in the back of her head she knew nothing bad would happen to her as long as she was around. Autumn was like the sister Marjorie needed growing up. "I'm just happy that Reece is scaring him away. I never want to see him again."
"Are you going to tell the higher ups about it?" Autumn asked.
Marjorie shrugged, she hasn't really thought about it. "I don't know." She said. "This happened years ago, they'd probably just brush it off."
Autumn started thinking of ways to help Marjorie, an idea clicked in her head. "Why don't you name and shame him?"
Marjorie shook her head. "I haven't thought about it yet, I just don't know where to start with it all."
Autumn nodded, understanding where Marjorie was coming from. "I can always help you with it you know?" She said. "If you want to type everything out, i'll deal with the rest of it."
Marjorie lifted up her head and thought for a moment. If Autumn did this for her, everyone would know the truth about Terrance and what he was like. "You'd do that?" She asked.
"Of course I would." Autumn slowly brought her hand over to Marjorie's, gently placing it on top of hers. "I hate to see you like this Marjorie, if calling him out will make you feel any better, i'll do it for you."
Marjorie looked down at their hands and smiled. She slowly nodded, "let's do it." She said, looking back up at Autumn. "I'll type everything out, and you can send it everywhere."
Autumn gave Marjorie's hand a gentle squeeze before pulling it away. "That's my girl, i'll leave you to it."
Marjorie smiled and started typing away, not leaving a single thing out. Terrance broke her, he was the reason why she became so cold towards others, and that's the biggest thing she'll never forgive him for. Marjorie was doing this for the younger version of herself, she knows little her would look up and be so proud of herself for standing up. She also thought that it could encourage other people to come forward too, proving that no matter what you've been through, and are going through, you will never be alone.
About 30 minutes had passed and Marjorie was finishing proofreading everything. She took a deep breath and looked at Autumn. "It's done."
Autumn quickly glanced at the laptop screen, she looked in Marjorie's direction and smiled. "Send it to me, and i'll send it everywhere." Marjorie then nodded and forwarded it over to Autumn, letting her take the lead on this from now on. Autumn stood up from her chair, heading towards the office door. She turned around to look at Marjorie one last time. "I don't express my emotions a lot, but you are so brave for this Marjorie. I'm proud of you."
Autumn then left the office, leaving Marjorie to her own thoughts. She came to the realisation that everything was always going to be okay in the end, and she wished she could tell her younger self that. She smiled to herself and thought 'i'm proud of me too.'
Before Marjorie could get too lost in her own thoughts, she heard her phone buzz, it was a text from Reece. 'You'll be happy to know, I didn't break my hand.' She read his text and smiled.
She started texting back. 'You're back just in time for the downfall of Terrance. Autumn is helping me take him and his reputation down.'
Reece read the text and immediately started typing. 'I'll be on the lookout. I'm proud of you Marjorie❤️'
She smiled, and replied back with a few red hearts before putting her phone down. She leaned back in her office chair and sighed, impatiently waiting for everything to unfold.
