A few hours later, Marjorie was sat at home on the sofa, she was sat with her back turned to the front door, waiting for Reece to arrived home. She sat there silently, while swirling the wine in the wineglass she was holding.

A few minutes later, the front door opened and Reece calm walking in. "Marjorie?" He called out, waiting for a response. She didn't respond, she sat there patiently waiting for Reece to walk into the living room.

Reece turned his head and looked into the room, he spotted his girlfriend sat on the sofa, admiring her nails and was holding a wine glass. He slowly walked behind her. "Rough day? It's only 6, my love."

Marjorie hummed in response, she took the last swig of wine that was in the glass and stood up facing Reece. She crossed her arms and tilted her head. Reece's eyes widened a little, as his eyes scanned her body for a second. 'She knows.'

"I was actually having a good day." She started. "Until i found out you lied to me." She pointed at him.

Reece sighed. "Marjorie I can explain why–" He started to justify himself, but Marjorie would not let him speak. "No." She stood her ground. "This is the second time you have lied to me, specifically about Charlotte. Reece i don't care that you and Charlotte are friends, go ahead, have lunch with her, it is fine. However, I care when you lie to me about it!"

"I understand that Marjorie, and I shouldn't have lied. I only went to Charlotte because I was worried."  He tried to walk closer to her, but she backed away. Reece read her body language so he stayed in his current position.

"Worried about what exactly?" Marjorie's tone started to get a bit more defensive. She was clearly confused, and a little bit hurt. "Why can't you tell me anything? Why do you always have to go to Charlotte? I don't understand!"

"I only go to Charlotte because she knows a lot about me, which is completely out of my say, might i add. But, I didn't go to Charlotte about me, I went because I was worried about you." After Reece said that last part, Marjorie narrowed her eyebrows. "You went to Charlotte about me?"

"Marjorie after last night, I had never seen you like that." Reece's tone of voice was genuine, but Marjorie was taken aback. "So I just asked her for some advice, that's all."

Marjorie quietly scoffed. "You could have spoken to me, you know? You don't need to drag my best friend into this!"

"Marjorie I did try and speak to you about it." Reece's tone now starting to get more defensive. "I ask you everytime you are upset, but you never reply. You always brush it off and say it's fine, or you completely push me away."

Marjorie stood there silently, she knew deep down that he was right, but she doesn't want to relive those moments again, which is why she brushes everything off in hopes she can forget. Without thinking, Marjorie blurted out, "you do the exact same thing to me! Except when i ask you about your past, or why you are in a bad mood, it always diverts into the bedroom!"

Reece widened his eyes, not expecting Marjorie to say that. "You know Marjorie, that is very rich coming from you. I get you care about me, however you mention my mother so much, yet you've never mentioned yours?"

Marjorie took a step back and shook her head. "Do not go there, Reece, we are not doing this."

"See! This is what i mean, you constantly push me away Marjorie." Reece fought back.

"This isn't even what the conversation is about! It's about the fact you lied to me." Marjorie slowly started to raise her voice.

"And i apologised for that, I know i shouldn't have, but i am worried about you Marjorie! Why can't you talk to me?" His tone started to become more hurt than angry, all he wants is for Marjorie to be happy, and he wants to do everything in his power to make sure she has that.

"Why can't you talk to me?!" Marjorie slightly shouted back, her tone also starting to sound more hurt. She didn't mean for it to escalate like this, and yet here they are. "Why is your first option when you're upset never me? Why do you run to Charlotte? I get that Mia has told her stuff, and i'm happy that you're reaching out for help, but i'm here too you know!"

"Because Marjorie, I don't want to explain every little detail for things to make sense, and then have to think and basically relive all of it." Reece started to become more irritated, he didn't even know what they were arguing about at this point. "I know you're there for me, and I appreciate that, but sometimes i want to live in the moment with you, and forget everything else."

"Don't you think that's how I feel too?" Marjorie's eyes started to feel teary, she leaned her head back and took a deep breath, trying to stay calm to herself.

"But you bottle everything up Marjorie, you don't talk to anyone about anything. It's not good for you." Reece slowly took a step closer to Marjorie, he felt bad.

Marjorie stood there silently, she hasn't admitted defeat, but she knew he was right. However, she was still angry about everything, not at Reece. Marjorie then looked up at him and broke the silence between them. "I'm gonna go, before we both say something we'll regret, this isn't necessary."

Before Reece could protest for her to stay, she walked straight past him, picked up her car keys and slammed the front door shut. As she left the house, she was filled with regret, and felt like she had lost that forever spark feeling he gave her.
