Ch - 23 : GOD ARC IV : Confrontation! Of God and Humans

Paying for Naruto and his ramen, Jin left the stall. Naruto's palm clenched around the chopsticks as they broke in his hand.

Flashback :

He turned on his emotional sense.

"Have you visited recently there?" Naruto asked in excitement, with stars in his eyes looking at Jin with puppy dog eyes. Even Jin smiled at the enthusiasm. "Not really! Last time I visited the Record building was 2 years ago."

Now,

If Jin actually lied, which he did - so what now? Should he confront him? Like talk to him, face to face. But then again, his interest in Mystery did definitely felt like borderline obsession. Why was he so obsessed to Mystery? And should Naruto even confront him.

No.

Confronting him as Naruto would be unwise without knowing his feelings regarding Mystery.

The better way to carry this out would be for Mystery to confront Jin. And he knows just the way to lure Jin.

Konoha Police Station,

Izumo was delivering the file to Konoha Police containing the list of people who passed through the gates today. The police were taking the case of the murder of tokbetsu jonin Shiranui Genma pretty seriously. He was one of the coolest and the most chilled out dude out there in Konoha. It was a shame he died and by that stupid vigilante no less.

"That stupid vigilante, if I get my hands on him I'll-"

"You'll do what?" A hoarse voice asked right beside him. Izumo looked at his side. It was the same stupid vigilante, what was his name again? Ah yes, Mystery! He nodded to him good naturedly as he explains further.

"I'll wring his neck and-" he paused mid-sentence as he screamed. Nearby people looked at the vigilante as a crowd formed.

"Hey, isn't that-"

"You're right."

"You think he's being arrested?"

"Wasn't he innocent?"

Izumo quickly sprang into action. He quickly took out a kunai and put it at the shinobi's jugular vein. "Surrender right now or else-"

Before he could finish his sentence, Naruto moved his finger a little and his kunai was sliced in half. Izumo's eyes quickly widened. Before the situation could get worse or escalate any further, Naruto kept a firm hand on his shoulder. "Calm down!" He replied in his deep hoarse voice. "I'm here to clear my name." He pointed towards the Police Station.

"Seeing as you were heading there, I decided to join you."

The police hearing the commotion outside stepped out when they saw their prime suspect, Mystery in front of the station creating a ruckus. They quickly surrounded him.

"Surrender now."

"We're bringing you in for questioning."

"Don't resist or we'll use lethal force."

Naruto quietly raised his hands as police force surrounded him from 4 sides. Naruto looked at them nervously. Not that he showed it but he was nervous as heck. He never tried anything this bold. Yes he painted the Hokage Monument, yes he stole the Forbidden Scroll, yes he has a giant demon in his gut which he holds back through his sheer willpower. You know what, this wasn't such a bold act after all. Heck, Mystery was a one-time thing but this was a different kind of bold, getting arrested and doing something like this.
