Yo. Guys I want you all to comment more so that I can know if I'm doing something wrong with the character development of characters. I've tried to study the characters of Naruto in detail.

The fanfiction is a result of that. So please tell me about your opinions.

"You couldn't see through the fog." Kakashi said entering out of nowhere hanging upside down reading his book.

"Kakashi-sensei...." Sakura said as she looked at her sensei. Aloof in his own world reading his book as usual.

"You're late, -ttebayo." Naruto said crossing his arms over his chest.

"Yeah sorry sorry. But today I was-" he opted a serious expression as he kept his hand on his chin. "-lost in the labyrinth of love."

"All right that's a lie." Said Naruto and Sakura in sync while Sasuke just sighed at their teacher antics.

And thus the journey began towards their first B-rank mission.

Now,

Uchiha Sasuke was scowling. Well, that wasn't a very big deal since Sasuke was only showed three expressions after the Uchiha massacre. Indifference, arrogance with a cocky smirk and anger. So different expressions related to them were mainly shown on Sasuke's face. Well, it was only Naruto or the talk of Itachi that brought out any other emotions out of Uchiha Sasuke. No. The correct phrase would be that Uchiha Sasuke was glaring. Especially at Uzumaki Naruto.

Kakashi told them about the mission. Their specific B-rank mission was to find a man named Genmai of Inaho village. What sort of village was that anyways? Sasuke never heard of any such village in his life. Poor boy is only 12-years old. That's a waste of his time. As Kakashi suggested that he disappeared on hills and moreover there are a lot of bandits around the hilly areas.

He tossed a photo to Sakura who was looking at the missing man. Tch. Sasuke thought. This mission wasn't worth B-rank. At most it was a C-rank for all he cared. This wasn't satisfying at all. This isn't something he seeks. This is not something that would make him strong. Something that will provide him strength or the power he desires.

"...... to be a Hokage. I need a worthier challenge." And Sasuke tuned out from the current ongoing team development or you could say the rather lack of, as Sakura's fist collided with Naruto's head as veins could be seen popping on her head. Well he could fill in the gaps of the conversation. His teammate was painfully predictable. God knows why he was given the title of the Most Unpredictable Ninja?

Suddenly Sasuke has certain flashback of him and Naruto kissing. Another memory of Naruto being painfully oblivious as he entered the Ice dome created by Haku. No. Nevermind. He knows the answer. He's the most unpredictable ninja. But he was right in the regards of worthier challenge. Moreover,

He speaks the truth. He singlehandedly took care of Haku while I was unconscious.

This thought repeatedly struck his mind. Naruto was strong. Simply put he had some strength, some hidden strength which he used to defeat Haku. And this piercing his heart. The fact that Naruto was stronger than him was piercing him. He was an Uchiha. An elite. The most strongest clan's only surviving heir that is if you exclude his traitorous filthy brother. He was supposed to be stronger than Naruto. He was trained by Shisui and him before Uchiha clan massacre. He trained every day and night just to complete his sworn revenge. He never tried to forget that night because he wasn't allowed to.

He was stronger than any of his classmates. He was supposed to be. So how was Naruto able to defeat a superior opponent like Haku. Who can give him the strength he desires? How can he surpass Itachi? How was Naruto a step ahead of him.
