Ch - 24 : Chunin Exams : Trials after trials

Kakashi looked at them both. They really wanted to participate in the Chunin Exams. "Don't worry, you both quickly go inside. I'll find Naruto and bring him here." If he would tell Naruto the truth of the exam and how Sakura and Sasuke couldn't participate without him, then he was bound to show up. He quickly disappeared in a body flicker. In his impatience, Kakashi who immediately left the building didn't really saw around the corner as a big, green and fat caterpillar was slowly crawling towards the exam room.

Both Sakura and Sasuke nodded to each other as they opened the gate and went inside the room, the huge caterpillar crawling behind them, entered the room as well.

The Chūnin Exams finally began!

Now,

Sasuke and Sakura entered through the door as their eyes considerably widened. There were so many people here. So many competitors, both young and old and they all were genins. Experienced shinobi is what they were. And young inexperienced rookies is what they are. Sasuke clenched his fist. If because of Naruto he wasn't able to fight 'em all, then that idiot would have hell to pay. He better comes here on time.

Sasuke looked at each and every opponent sizing them up, they all were his targets. There must be alot of outstanding genins here, there won't be a better chance than this. He was practically sweating and vibrating in his place. This competition will reveal whether or not he has closed the gap between him and his brother.

"What's this?" Sakura murmured in awe as she looked around the room. All the competitors were staring the young rookies as if they were prize meat. They all knew that Sasuke and Sakura were rookies and thus they must be easy targets. Argh! There were even men as old as Kakashi-sensei? How can they all be genins? And how was it fair for rookies like them to fight experienced shinobi like them?! This was so unfair!

What numbers..... They are all here to take the exam. They look strong too. But before Sakura could continue her train of thoughts, suddenly a girl's squealing snapped her out of it.

"Sasuke-kun-" a blonde girl, Yamanaka Ino quickly hugged Sasuke Uchiha from behind as she hugged him. Really tight. Sasuke blushed a little but nonetheless he didn't really lose his composure. Like what was wrong with the girl? Can she not read the atmosphere or what? " - I've been waiting for you from so long."

That doesn't make it any better. Sasuke thought dryly in his mind as Ino still didn't leave him at all. "I haven't seen you for a while so I've been waiting in excitement. " Sasuke looked like he just wanted a little space for himself to calm himself but Ino like the hugger she was, didn't leave him at all. Like the guy clearly feels uncomfortable, shouldn't she let go of him.

This fair-skinned girl of average height with light green eyes along with platinum blonde hair tied into a high ponytail, with eyes only for Sasuke is Yamanaka Ino.

"Get away from Sasuke-kun, Ino-pig!!!"

"Ara, if it  isn't Sakura, big ugly forehead as always." Naruto glanced between the two girls and just shuffled deep into his, caterpillar sleeping bag. Hey, don't blame him for fashion. It's comfort what you should look for!

"What did you just say?" Sakura shouted in anger as she pointed at the Yamanaka Inoichi's daughter and Ino gave her a very mature response in return. "Bleh!" She blew her a raspberry, sticking out her tongue, mocking her. Sakura looked pissed and so did Ino. The looked like, they would soon butt their heads and start a fight for Uchiha Sasuke right then and there. That's until a new voice interrupted their fight.
