"Accept this thing because I want to receive the same desperate energy back from you my dear Heaven.."

Bella's heart stuttered at the sound of his voice—low, deep, and brimming with restrained hunger. She closed her eyes, grounding herself.

Then she looked away and muttered, cold and composed, "You'll crave it your whole life, Jeon Jungkook…"
She turned her gaze back to him. "But you'll never receive it."

With that, she walked past him toward the car.

Jungkook stood there, taking deep breaths. His jaw clenched, hands balled into fists. "I'm bearing it first," he muttered under his breath. "But after that... it'll be your turn, my dear."

He bit his lower lip and made his way to the car.

When he got there, Bella was already seated, arms crossed, face turned toward the window. He stole a glance at her, then started the engine in silence.

The tension in the car was suffocating.

He glanced sideways again—Bella was shaking one leg furiously as she stared out the window, jaw tight.

With a sudden jerk, Jungkook slammed on the brakes.

Bella jolted forward, catching herself against the dashboard. "What's your problem?!" she snapped, glaring at him.

He looked at her. "Stop shaking your leg. You're distracting me."

Her mouth got open in the air when she realised but then she gulped down her saliva and said carelessly, "So?? Bear it because it's my habit."

Jungkook exhaled slowly, gripping the wheel before restarting the car.

Bella tried to keep still, but within minutes her leg began bouncing again—unconsciously. When he realises, she grabbed it with both hands to stop it. Jungkook noticed but said nothing, watching her out of the corner of his eye.

Then she slipped off her shoes and folded her legs onto the seat, curling up like a cat. He chuckled to himself and looked back at the road.

Soon, they reached her house.

Bella unbuckled her seatbelt and reached for the door handle—but Jungkook was faster. He leaned across and caught her wrist gently, shutting the door again.

She looked at him with a narrowed gaze that asked, what now?

He smirked. "Let me open it for you… my dear Heaven."

She blinked, unimpressed.

Jungkook stepped out, walked around the car, and opened her door with a mock-princely bow.

Bella stepped out, arms crossed, eyes shooting daggers. "Don't do this type of cheesy stuff again, Jungkook. It doesn't suit you."

He burst into laughter. She rolled her eyes.

"Do you even like anything about me, huh?" he asked, amused.

"Yeah," she said with a smirk, stepping closer. "I like one thing a lot."

Jungkook raised a curious eyebrow.

She was looking at him. "When you're not talking."

And just like that, she turned on her heel and disappeared into the house.

Jungkook chuckled, staring at the door she vanished through. He shook his head. "Fiery little storm…"

And then he got in his car and drove off.

Bella's POV

I stepped into the house, the quietness wrapping around me like a blanket. No one seemed to be awake. I called the maid, who informed me softly, "Sir and Madam have already gone to bed."
