"Your touch was my healer… and my wounds are getting deeper without their healer, Kook… Heal them… before they kill me."
Bella's eyes remained fixed on Jungkook when a sudden knock echoed through the room. She slowly turned her gaze toward the door just as Jimin stepped inside. His eyes immediately fell on her— sitting with her leg bandage undone, fresh drops of blood trailing down her skin.
In an instant, he rushed to her side. "Princess! I was coming to change your bandages — why did you open them?" His voice carried urgency, almost desperation.
Without waiting for her reply, he grabbed the first aid box, pulled out wipes, and began cleaning the blood. Bella sat motionless, offering no explanation, her expression distant and unreadable. As he worked, Jimin noticed she didn't even flinch at the sting of antiseptic. No hiss of pain. No tears. Just silence.
It had been a month — yet not once had she shed a single tear. She was carrying it all inside, locked away where no one could reach. And it was slowly breaking him.
After finishing with the wipes, he poured her a glass of water and held it out. "Here. Drink."
Bella shook her head faintly, her voice barely more than a trembling whisper. "My thirst is quenched."
The words made his heart stutter. He swallowed hard, fighting to keep his composure, and resumed dressing her wounds with quiet precision. When he finished, he packed away the supplies and closed the box with a soft click.
Then his steps carried him toward Jungkook's side. His heartbeat quickened at the sight of him — motionless, pale, fragile beneath the tangle of tubes and the oxygen mask. A tear slipped down Jimin's cheek before he could stop it, but he quickly brushed it away and focused on checking the drips, adjusting the lines, ensuring everything was in order.
Finally, he sank to his knees beside Jungkook, gently running his fingers through his hair. The ache in his chest grew heavier, and he had to draw in a deep breath to steady himself before rising again.
Turning back to Bella, he forced a small, reassuring smile. "Princess… now lie down and sleep. It's late."
She obeyed without a word, lying back on the bed. He pulled the blanket over her, smoothed her hair, and pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead. "Goodnight."
Bella closed her eyes, exhaling softly. Jimin dimmed the lights before leaving the room.
As Jimin left, her eyes fluttered open again. She stared at Jungkook, her gaze distant and unblinking. And somewhere in that silence, without realizing it, she drifted into sleep.
As Jimin entered his room, the weight of his emotions overwhelmed him. He collapsed to his knees on the floor, tears streaming down his face. Eva, hearing the sound from the washroom, rushed out. The moment she saw him, her heart skipped a beat. She dropped to the floor beside him, her voice trembling.
"Jimin!"
With a trembling hand pressed to his forehead, Jimin choked out, "I can't bear this, Eva… I can't!! My heart isn't strong enough to see them both like this!!"
Eva's eyes filled with tears as she wrapped her arms around him. "My heart is bleeding too," she whispered, her voice breaking. "Why do they have to endure so much pain? Why?"
They both pulled away. Jimin's voice cracked with hiccups. "B-Bella… she hasn't shed a single tear. She's become so silent, Eva… she's holding everything inside. I can't watch my sister suffer like this who's the piece of my heart."
Eva closed her eyes, her tears falling freely. "I've spent entire days with her, but she barely speaks. She only responds when I talk, and even then, it's so distant… She won't share her pain, no matter how much I try."
