"She loves Niall."

"What?" Jimin said, his brows furrowing slightly. Selena nodded firmly. "Yes, Jimin. She loves Niall. She even agreed to marry him. But suddenly — out of nowhere — she changed her mind and accepted your proposal."

Jimin remained silent. Selena's tone grew sharper. "You want to know why she did that? Because you're richer than my son. You're wealthier than her. I know she accepted your proposal just to merge her business with yours and claim everything for herself!"

Jimin smirked, poking the inside of his cheek as memories of the previous night's conversation with Niall played in his mind.

(Flashback)

"She wants Eva to marry me." Niall had said, his tone cold. "And it's not because she cares — it's because Eva inherited her father's entire property. Selena wants that property to stay in the family."

Eva took a deep breath and looked away. "That's why she's suddenly being nice to me.."

Jimin leaned back, arms folded. "Then why is she calling us for dinner tomorrow? If she's not accepting our relationship, what's the point?"

Niall rested both elbows on the table. "She's calling you to make one final attempt to separate you two. Tomorrow, she'll try to ruin Eva's reputation in front of you.... make you doubt her character so you'll leave her."

Eva's eyes widened, tears brimming as anger surged in her voice. "How could she do that?!! First she tried to break Jimin's image, and now she'll destroy mine?! And for what...! Just to break us apart?!"

Her voice cracked. Jimin reached for her hand, his touch gentle yet grounding. She looked at him, tears slipping down her cheek. He tilted his head slightly and said, "Don't you trust me, hmm? Why cry over things that don't even matter?"

Eva gulped, voice trembling. "But what if she says something awful and shows fake proof? What if she convinces you to believe her? What if she actually manages to break us?"

Their eyes locked in a heavy silence. Jimin wiped her tears gently with his thumb and whispered, "Even if Niall hadn't warned me, and I heard something like that from her or anyone else... I still wouldn't have believed it."

Niall smiled softly, watching them.

Jimin cupped Eva's cheeks. "Even if the whole world stood against you, waving so-called 'proof,' I'd throw it in their faces. Because nothing is more important to me than you. Nothing."

Eva closed her eyes, another tear escaping down her cheek. Jimin caught it, whispering again, "You once trusted me, and didn't believe the rumors about me online. Now it's my turn to prove how strong my love is for you."

Eva tilted her head, touched by his sincerity. Jimin smiled and added, "Let me handle tomorrow. You don't have to worry about anything, my love."

A soft smile returned to Eva's face as she looked over at Niall, who chuckled and said, "Looks like my words were pointless. The love between you two, it's something else. No one can match it, and no one can break it. I guess I was uselessly trying too hard to be the hero."

They laughed gently at his remark.

Niall shook his head with a grin. "Miraculous couple, miraculous love."

(End of flashback)

A small chuckle escaped Jimin's lips as he looked at Selena and said calmly, "So, if she's marrying me for money… let her. Isn't it better that your son got saved before the wedding?"

Selena licked her lips in frustration but didn't respond.

Jimin stood up from the bench and added casually, "I don't mind if she's marrying me for that reason. After all, she forgave my mistake too — remember? That I… got physically close to her with the wrong intentions. Right, Aunty Selena?"
