"Welcome, Mr. Park Jimin."
Jimin froze in place, trying to process the sight before him. Eva noticed his unwavering stare and, sensing the room's attention on them, cleared her throat delicately. "Shall we take a seat, Mr. Park? Let's begin the meeting." she said calmly, snapping him out of his thoughts.
Jimin blinked rapidly and looked around. Everyone was already seated, including Eva, who had taken her place at the head of the table. Composing himself, he took a steady breath and walked over to the opposite head seat across from her.
Eva opened the presentation file and began, "Mr. Park Jimin, we're planning to open a new showcase in Seoul. I've reviewed the site your company owns - it's a prime location, perfectly suited for our expansion plans."
She glanced up to meet his eyes. Jimin was still silently watching her. Eva continued professionally, "This collaboration would benefit both our companies. We propose to establish our showcase on your property, and in return, we'll be sharing profits and equity as outlined in the documents already sent to you. So... what are your thoughts, Mr. Park?"
She asked, lifting up her eyebrows. A small chuckle left his mouth, breaking the silence. Without saying a word, he picked up the pen, flipped through the contract, and signed the papers. Eva quietly observed his actions, her expression calm but attentive. Placing the pen back on the table, Jimin looked up at her, lifted up his eyebrows, a subtle smirk on his face, and said, "The deal is done... Miss Eva James."
Their eyes locked again - this time, with a different intensity. Eva took a calm breath, returning his gaze. "It's an honour for us to work with you, Mr. Park," she replied smoothly, then turned toward the others. "That concludes our meeting."
Everyone began rising from their seats and exiting the room. Jimin remained seated, his back against the chair as he gently rocked it back and forth. Eva stayed as well. Once the last person had left, silence settled in the room, leaving only the two of them behind.
She turned her head to find Jimin still watching her, his gaze now sharper, intense. A small smile tugged at her lips, and she looked away. "Stop looking at me with those eyes, Jimin."
He raised an eyebrow, and asked, "What eyes, Eva?"
She looked at him, suppressing her smile. "Like you're seeing me for the first time." she replied.
Jimin licked his lips, then rose from his seat. He walked slowly toward her, stopping just a step away. With both hands tucked into his pants pockets, he looked at her and said, "As the CEO of James Agencies... Yeah. It's my first time."
Eva let out a soft laugh and stood up to face him. Jimin quirked a brow. "So, you already knew about my arrival?"
Eva took a step towards him while she forwarded her hand towards his collar and she said while fixing his collars, "I could have finalized this deal on phone call too but then I decided to have a rendezvous with you so.."
Jimin bit the inside of his cheek, silently amused. "And how did you know it would be me attending?"
Eva smiled, her tone playful. "Because I already spoke with Uncle Jeon. He told me you've been handling this project from the beginning."
Jimin's expression shifted in surprise. "Wait... Dad knew this was your company?"
Eva nodded, her smile widening. Jimin looked away in disbelief. "Yah... Dad didn't even tell me," he muttered under his breath.
Eva chuckled at his reaction. "So," she said lightly, "shall we have lunch together, Mr. Park Jimin?"
Jimin raised his brows, smirking. Then he gestured toward the door with a gentlemanly nod. "After you, Miss Eva James."
