"My K-Kook—"

Their motionless figures lay sprawled on the rain-drenched road, the storm raging above as thunder cracked violently through the air, echoing across the desolate surroundings.

Taehyung had already fled the scene. He burst into his house and rushed straight to his mother's room — only to find it empty. His heart pounded with a terrifying rhythm, his mind haunted by what he had just done. How could I do that?

In a frenzy, he stumbled into his own room, locked the door, and backed away, mumbling to himself in a daze, "I-I did nothing... I did nothing…"

Collapsing onto his bed, he continued repeating those words over and over — until, overwhelmed by the alcohol coursing through his system, he slipped into an unconscious sleep within seconds.

Meanwhile, Jeon had already dispatched his private helicopter to the forest the moment he heard Jungkook had requested it. A deep unease gnawed at him. Jungkook had never called for his helicopter like that before. Something was wrong. Jeon's suspicions grew when his manager mentioned how panicked Jungkook sounded during the call.

The helicopter circled the forest, scanning the area thoroughly, but found nothing.

Then, as they veered toward the main road, Jeon's personal guard — who was still on a call with him — suddenly stopped mid-sentence.

Jeon asked,
"Did you find Jungkook?"

"No sir, we're still looking, but there's no one—"

The guard abruptly froze as the helicopter's spotlight fell on a horrific scene.

Their eyes widened in horror.

Below, lying lifeless on the road, were the bloodied figures of Jungkook and Bella. The light bathed their still bodies, highlighting the devastation.

Jeon's voice came through the line again.
"What happened? Did you find him??"

The guard stammered,
"S-sir… we found Mr. J-Jungkook and Miss Bella's bodies on the road."

Jeon's heart stopped.
"What????"

At the Hospital

Jeon immediately ran toward his guard who had brought them to the hospital. "What happened to my child???"

The guard gulped and replied, "We found them unconscious… I guess they both had an accident."

Jeon's heart skipped a beat. His voice trembled. "W-where are they???"

"They're both in the ICU."

Jeon clutched his chest as his guard quickly held him. "Sir, please brace yourself… I called Mr. Jimin too. He'll be here soon."

Just then, Jimin came running inside. His eyes landed on Jeon. "Dad!!!"

Jeon turned around, and they embraced tightly.

"Jimin… My child… Bella! Jungkook!! They're in the ICU!!!"

Jimin's eyes welled with tears. "Dad!! Brace yourself, Dad! Nothing will happen to either of them."

Jimin supported Jeon's arms and guided him to sit on the couch before heading straight to the doctor. After speaking briefly with him, he went toward the ICU.

His breath caught in his throat when he saw Jungkook — his body was covered in blood while doctors worked swiftly, wiping his wounds. Then Jimin's eyes shifted to the room beside him.

His heart stopped for a moment.

Bella lay still, her legs, face, and body entirely covered in blood.
Overwhelmed, Jimin rushed out of the ICU, feeling as though his heart might stop.
