Bryce had woken up offly giddy that morning. While he only received one letter back yesterday more kingdoms were sure to have replied by now. Not only that but he would get to see Peter again. He was rather ecstatic when he had been informed that the shorter male had taken the job. He didn't know why entirely but he had the desire to get to know him better. Especially since he barely knew him. Not to mention he was oddly drawn to him that first time. Sure when he was at the party he expected to once again be drawn to Peter, but as far as he was aware he never attended. Instead he had bumped into Angel.

Don't get him wrong she was definitely pretty, and seemed rather wonderful, though he would like to get to know her some more despite getting as handsy as he did that night. Sure he had his moments, not to mention some of the alcohol consumed, but he was still curious as to why. He knew better than to have sex with someone at a royal function while it was still going on. Let alone an area where anyone could easily walk in on the two. Sure the blame fell on him in the end. He was sure if he hadn't gotten so handsy she wouldn't have fled. Now his mood had sunk a bit more at breakfast, especially since some of his food was burnt again. At least it was just the bacon so he couldn't complain too much. Before heading up to his office where he knew he would spend most of the day there.

Even though he wanted to go down to greet Peter for some reason he could just tell when he was arriving. The footsteps approaching his door seemed to confirm it. When the door opened, sure enough his suspicion was correct. "Good morning Peter." Bryce said as he watched the blue hair male walk in with a tray in his hand carrying a coffee cup. "Good morning your..." Bryce raised a brow before Peter went a bit silent. "Bryce." He replied before setting the coffee cup down right next to his nearly empty one. "How did you know I was in need of more coffee?" Bryce asked as he looked up at him. Peter looked a little nervous, though he did give off that energy to him. A nervous man who didn't really have the guts to really face anything, and would shy away from confrontation. He just shrugged. "Just figured you may want some." Bryce couldn't complain before handing a stack of letters over to Peter. "What do you want me to do with these?" Peter asked as He took them. Bryce grabbed the fresh mug, placing his feet on his desk, and leaning back in his chair a bit. "Read them, duh." Bryce replied. "But you aren't doing anything?" Peter replied as Bryce rolled his eyes. Could he very much read them if he wanted to especially since he didn't really have any paperwork. Yeah, but he didn't want to wreck his mood much. Besides he knows he might actually tear those letters up in frustration.

"Obviously I am doing something. Enjoying my morning, so you can read them. Don't be lazy now." Peter rolled his eyes, keeping an annoyed expression. He actually looked kind of cute when annoyed. It made Bryce want to see him like that more often. Peter opened the letter's one by one, reading each out loud. Yet with every letter Bryce's good mood, and hope deteriorated. "Dear Prince Bryce of Clayton, we have received your letter and looked through our citizens. We have no citizens named Angel that matches your description or have been seen with your mark. We will put flyers with your mark printed on it to see if anybody knows any information about your soulmate, or has seen your mark on someone sincerely." By the last letter he had had enough. By now both his cups were empty. Bryce didn't look back at Peter, but he could feel his eyes on him. He needed to be alone right now. He pulled out a piece of paper and grabbed a pen before scribbling on it.

"Downstairs, basically under this room is a library. If you could go fetch me these books that would be much appreciated." Peter took the slip and without another word left. Bryce usually found himself craving the company, but now he was just frustrated. At this point he wanted to pull out his own hair. Sure there were still other kingdoms, but this was getting ridiculous. What were they missing in order to track this woman down. They had her description, they had what she was wearing, they even had some of her belongings. Surely she could not have made it that far in one night, and with the closest kingdoms already replying there is no sign of her, this might end in failure. Then again his mind kept flashing back to Peter. He wasn't sure why. Sure his hair looked kind of similar in shape to Angel's real hair, but with the darkness outside it was impossible to know otherwise, but he did live on the southernmost part of the kingdom. That's the direction Angel had ran. Maybe he could ask Peter about the southern part. Maybe he even saw something, though he would have probably come forward with that information by now, for now he would just have to wait for more replies.

After another few minutes Peter returned with a large stack of books he was struggling to carry. Before slamming them down on the desk. "Here are the books." Peter said through panting breaths. "Thanks." Bryce said more friendly than earlier as Peter cracked his neck. Though his glasses slipped off his face and landed on the floor. Peter muttered something as he looked around for his glasses. Bryce got up from his chair figuring he would try to help, and in a minute he found them. Rather close to Peter's foot. "How could you not see them, are you that blind?" Bryce joked as he held them up. Peter let out a low growl. "Yes, now can I have them back." He demanded more than asked. "Hold on, I want to know." Bryce put the glasses on before looking back at Peter. "How do I look?" Everything was really blurry but since the lenses were kind of low he was still able to make out Peter's face, and holy shit it was terrifying. His brows furrowed, and eyes squinting. Sure he looked cute when he was annoyed but now he just looked pissed. Incredibly pissed, yet oddly familiar.

Out of fear, and guilt Bryce handed the glasses back over. Peter took them, his face returning to a more neutral look as he placed them back on. "Sorry, I couldn't tell how you look because I couldn't really see it." Peter said as Bryce relaxed a bit. Though there was something slightly familiar about not only his face, but his height. He looked to be around the same height as Angel. Bryce just shrugged it off. Sure a lot of people were probably around that height. He grabbed a book and moved back over to his chair. They sat in silence for a lot of the day. It wasn't until after lunch when Peter started the conversation. "You asked for a lot of religious related textbooks. May I ask why?" Bryce looked up from his book. "It's kind of required when there are quite a few churches here. Better to understand what they're teaching. Are you religious?" "Used to be." Peter muttered, seemingly saddened but also a bit angry. He looked down at the floor. Staring down at his feet. Those little actions and tones spoke thousands of words. Bryce had pity on him.

"Went to one of the bad churches here?" Bryce asked, Peter shook his head. "I moved here last year, before that I lived in Little Vale." Peter explained as Bryce has to think for a second. He's heard of it before. "Correct me if I am wrong, but that town doesn't have a monarchy." Peter moved his hand side to side. "Kind of. It's technically under law of the kingdom of Constance, but for the most part is an independent community run by Christian law. Though if you asked me it was basically a cult." Bryce nodded, though another question came to mind. "Why did you leave?" Bryce asked as Peter looked at him confused. "Why wouldn't I leave?" Bryce sighed. "I meant it as how did you realize it was a cult? Most people have a hard time realizing stuff like that. Not to mention the fact that you grew up there, surely it would be harder to tell." Peter went silent. "I mean did you just stop believing in God for whatever reason? Or did it have something to do with your soulmate?" Peter seemingly went pale as his hands were tightly squeezing his arms.

"It doesn't matter, okay I left and that was it." Peter said sternly. That shut Bryce up. He pushed people. He did that often. Whether it was to do better, or just to get some information he wanted. He had ruined a few relationships with that but this time he didn't want to push. Maybe not know, but maybe later he could ask more. They stayed silent for a little while, with a harsh tension filling the room. You would need a knife to cut it and somehow it would still be there. Eventually Bryce couldn't take it anymore. He needed something to break the tension. "How old are you?" Bryce asked. "Twenty two." Peter replied a bit more friendly now. "So we're the same age." Peter nodded. "Though I'm older than you." Bryce scoffed, and rolled his eyes. Peter gave him a small smirk, clearly satisfied he had some power over him. Even if it was small and barely even usable outside of jokes.

"Hey random question, do you know how many inns are on the south side of town?" Peter seemed a little off guard by the question. "Not many as far as I'm aware. I don't hang around that often." Bryce nodded, so Angel most likely lived down there. Though some small suspicion remained in the back of his mind. Similar height, rather blind and needs glasses, lived on the south side, had similar hair. Similar age, and had a religious upbringing and grew to dislike it. Almost every detail pointed to Peter, and yet there was one thing stopping him from believing it. Peter was male, Angel was female. Peter wouldn't do something like that. Right?
