The sunlight shone into the room as Peter stirred. Rubbing the sleep from his eyes as he woke up. He turned over and put his glasses on though he noticed something was off. Usually he woke up with Bryce next to him, and almost always after him. But this morning he wasn't next to them. It struck Peter as odd. Perhaps Bryce just got really hungry. Peter walked out and to his room. Only to see a pair of clothes laying on his bed. He raised a brow as he walked over noticing a note on the clothes. He picked it up, adjusting his glasses to look over at it. "I know you haven't wanted to go to the tailor yet so these were made with guesses off of your other clothes. I hope you like them. Also I have a surprise for you today. Bryce." Peter raised a brow. Now curious as to what Bryce had in store. Unfolding the clothes he saw a pastel blue blouse made out of thick but comfortable fabric. Underneath was a pair of black dress pants. They were made from a similar fabric. Peter took off his shirt and put on the new one. It was a little loose on him but still fit him well. Changing into the new clothes he actually likes the feel. Digging through his closet he found a pair of boots that matched well with the clothes before walking downstairs to eat breakfast. To his surprise Bryce wasn't in the dining room. Nor were a lot of the servants but Bryce's mother was at the table. Peter sat at the seat next to her. "Oh good morning Peter."

"Good morning ma'am." Peter said as he sat down. The queen sighed as she gave him a sweet smile. "You know you can call me Beth." She said as Peter grabbed a pancake. "I know it just..." Peter went quiet with a sigh. "I know you are getting used to it." Peter gave her a smile as he took a bite into the sweet fluffy pancakes. "So how has finding Margret's replacement been?" Peter nodded. "Going pretty well. We have an interview scheduled." Beth nodded as Peter took another bite of his food. "That's lovely." She replied though she seemed a little guilty. "You know I was the person who originally hired her." Peter looked up at her. Her eyes were down casted onto her plate. "She seemed so much nicer when I hired her. Nothing seemed out of place until I started hearing rumors. Seria told me about it. I didn't believe her. Then I had my own son catching her. I wanted to fire her right then and there, yet I couldn't. I was no longer in charge of staff." Peter gave her a soft smile. Moving his hand over to hers. "Monsters hide everywhere. Even in plain sight. Don't blame yourself." Peter said as his mind flashed to his past. Memories he quickly shook away. Beth held her hand over his. "Thank you." Beth said as Peter nodded before his hand was free, and available for him to eat.

"Oh by the way Bryce left something for you in the office." Peter raised his brow. "He's not in his office?" Beth shook her head. That was news to Peter. He would usually be in his office by now. Suddenly Peter got nervous. Surprise, new clothes, he wasn't going to propose to him? It was a little too early for that? "You seem nervous?" Beth said as Peter shrugged. "I promise you he is not going to propose to you already. I told him he needs to know his soulmate for at least a year before that." Peter let out a sigh of relief. He wasn't ready for cuffing season yet. After breakfast he walked up to the office. True to Beth's words Bryce was not there. Instead there was a bouquet of blue roses on the desk. Already in a vase. Peter felt his heart warm up as he walked over. Leaning over and smelling the sweet smell of the flower. He couldn't help but give a bright smile. Still there was one question in the back of his mind. Where was Bryce? He looked out the window but there was no sign of his boyfriend out in the large garden. Peter walked back over to the vase to see a note attached to it. "Peter, in order to get to your surprise you have to locate some clues. The roses are you first. You'll find the second where they grow." Peter gave a small chuckle.

"Playing this game." He said, first he was a runaway and now Bryce was hiding, and luckily for Peter he knew where to look. Though he was not going to just leave the roses here. He picked them up before putting them in his room. Even though he barely spent any time there. Keeping the note he headed to the next location. Afterall he and Bryce only knew one shared place where they grow. Walking into the ballroom and over into the gardens. While things looked much clearer in the day. It still took him a while to find that one spot. While his memory was blurry because his glasses were off he still couldn't help but feel fuzzy inside. He quickly spotted the roses, but there was no note. Until he looked up at the fountain. Peter raised a brow as he picked up the note. "Love, third clue is related to the day I found out it was you who I was looking for. Though it's where you experienced terrible pain I hope the reward will well make up for it, just go north." Peter raised a brow. He knew what day Bryce was referring to, but he was beaten in the town square. That was south of where he was.

Then he remembered the view from the study. The north side of the garden there was a fountain. Peter put the notes in his pocket before walking through the hedge mazes finally reaching the north half of the garden before arriving at the fountain. He was getting a little thirsty, but he would be fine. When he reached the fountain he noticed something shiny on the edge. When he got closer his eyes practically popped out of his head. On the edge was a silver necklace with a blue rhinestone charm. Peter looked at it. Picking it up and admiring how it glistened in the light. That's when he noticed the back. Etched into the metal were his initials. A harsh blush came across his face before putting it on. Holding the cold metal in his hand as he picked up the note. Once again it started by calling him love. Peter could feel himself floating on cloud nine from that. "Love your fourth clue is further up North amongst the walls. Just go straight from where you are." Peter raised a brow as he walked straight north from where he was. Eventually hitting the wall. When he did he heard a loud whistle. Looking over he saw Bok Su holding a glass of water. She walked over and handed him the glass. "Bryce thought you might be thirsty. "Thanks." Peter said as he took a large gulp. "Do you know where he is?" Bok Su gave him a smirk.

"Follow me." She said before taking the glass back and turning around. Peter followed closely as he was led to a gate on the north side and out into the woods. The woodland felt natural to him. The sun creates a green light through the leaves if it doesn't peak through the branches. The sounds of birds chirping in the background eventually Bok Su stopped at the edge of the hill. "He's not far from here. Just go up the hill. You'll find him." Peter gave her a confused look but did so. The trees were surrounding it leaving it wide open and vulnerable to the sun. When Peter got to the top of the hill he froze. Bryce was sitting a red and white quilt with several foods laid out with a picnic basket next to him. Bryce stood up and gave him a bright smile as Peter felt tears threatening. "You did all this? For me?" Peter asked as he walked closer. "Yeah. You seem really stressed lately, and I wanted to make it up to you." Bryce couldn't say anything more as he was engulfed into a hug, and tackled to the ground. Before he could reply Peter's lips were on his. A few seconds before Bryce's hands were in his hair. Peter pulled back looking at him. "I love it." Bryce gave him a bright smile.

"You haven't eaten anything yet." Bryce replied. "I don't care. I love it." Peter replied before giving Bryce another kiss. Cupping his face while Bryce moved his hands to wipe any tears of joy that slipped from his face. "Shall we dine my fair sir." Bryce asked as he pulled back. "We shall." Peter replied before he got off him. All of the food was delicious. Bryce was absolutely right. He needed this. The sun was shining down on his face. The gentle breeze blowing through his hair. Of course followed by some cute romantic banter. "You're right. I needed this." Peter said as he stared into his green eyes. Bryce chuckled before pressing another kiss to his lips. "Anytime you feel stressed, we can get away." Peter chuckled as he leaned on his shoulder. "What about you?" Peter asked as Bryce let out a hum. "What about when you're stressed? What would you want to do" Bryce shrugged.

"I don't know actually." Peter raised a bow. "Well when you are stressed let me know what you want to do if you weren't stressed and we'll do that." Peter pressed a kiss to his cheek. "Alright, though I do want to discuss something with you." Peter raised a brow. "What is that?" "Well since we are dating now the people would like to know outside of just rumors or the rare times they saw you. So how do you want to do that?" Peter thought about it for a moment. "I'm not sure. What are our options?" "Well we can just do a simple announcement. We stand in front of the palace gates and announce you're my soulmate, you give a speech, or," A big smile appeared on his face. Peter raised a brow. "It doesn't have to be a masquerade this time but, we could have a ball." Peter chuckled. "I like the sound of that better." It would give him time to see Angelica and Forcas. "Though how would I show my soulmate mark?" Peter asked. Bryce gave him a sly look. "I'm not wearing a dress again." Bryce shrugged before leaning back. "Well we could have something designed for you, by the tailors." Peter felt a little uneasy, but he knew deep down he could do it. "Alright." He said.
