Trigger Warning: Homophobia, and violence

Peter had to rub his eyes as fear consumed him. This had to be a dream. A nightmare or something. "What are you doing here?" Peter asked as his parents kept an unnerving smile. A look he knew all too well. Only adding to the situation was the fact that he was cornered. "What do you think? We came to see our son. Especially after learning you were a wanted man. Though I was more surprised to learn it was for a soulmate." His father said as his eyes narrowed while looking at him. Peter began to feel a shiver go down his spine. "Though we didn't want to believe you ended up being soulmates with a man." Peter could feel them closing in on him based on his mother's words alone. "You lied to us about having a soulmate." There it was. The anger, the hateful looks on their faces. Peter stood his ground. Balling his hands into fists. "And why wouldn't I?" His parents showed surprise as Peter took a step forward. "You would've been searching for a woman." "You've liked men all this time?" His mother exclaimed. As Peter took a step back. Her anger showed on her face. She was always the worst of the two. "Yes! So what?!" Peter shouted as he threw his hands up in the air. His mother seemed a bit taken aback.
"Listen here boy! We did NOT raise you to be a homosexual! We raised you to be a good Christian man!" "No you DIDN'T!" It was Peter's father to be taken aback now. Things had been going so well he was not going to let them ruin it. Not now. "You raised me to be a part of a cult! And I am never going back! Not after everything you did to me!" "What we did to you?" His mother interjected as she took another step forward. "We did nothing but care for you! We provided you food and shelter. We loved and cared for you, and this is how you betrayed us!?" Peter gritted his teeth as he narrowed his eyes at them. "Took care of me?" Peter said as tears felt threatening to flow. "You didn't even CARE ABOUT ME! You would BEAT ME if I did anything wrong in your minds, and for the STUPIDEST of things!" "We DID it to get you on the right path!" Peter's mother let out a sigh. "Peter, we want you back on that path. I can't bear the thought of you going to Hell. Please come back with us to Little Vale." His mother's smile was sweet and gentle as her hand was extending to his shoulder.
Fear engulfed him as she got closer. Her smile was so sweet and yet all the sugar melted off of it when she was around Peter. He knew it was fake. Leaving a bad taste in his mouth. He was all alone. No guards, neither of his friends, no Bryce. He had tried his best to run, only to be caught again. Would he be forced to go back to his old life? No, he was done running from them. Not while he had power now. He could be the one in control. Without a second thought he smacked her hand away. "Are You Out Of Your God Damn Mind!? Hell NO!" Peter shouted, leaving her to be enraged. Without warning she jumped on him. Aiming her fist straight for his face. Peter acted first punching her right back. Causing her to fall back against the fountain. Peter was then kicked to the ground. Turning up he saw his father aiming his foot down to his chest. Peter quickly grabbed his foot. Doing his best to hold it away. His father was surprisingly strong for his age. So Peter rolled over causing his father to stumble against the bench as he backed away getting to his feet. Unfortunately his mother had recovered by then. Getting up and lunging at him with a loud grunt.
Peter stuck back quickly but not quick enough as he was scratched on the shoulder. He hissed in pain as her nails dug into his flesh. Peter rushed past her only to be tackled by his father. Falling to the ground once again as he was struck in the face, and while he kept trying to fight back he was getting punched over and over. "You will not disrespect your parents like this again Peter Angel Nest!" Peter landed a blow to his face. Causing a small distraction and enough time for him to get up and start to run only to be jumped on again. This time his mother's heels pierced into his back causing him to let out a yelp of pain. "You are going back to Little Vale and that's FINALE!" Suddenly the pressure was off of his back. He looked back to see a guard holding down his mother. While another holding his father back. "Unhand me you fiend." "I'm sorry ma'am but that is not possible." A smile appeared on Peter's face as Bryce walked to him. "Bring them to the holding cells." Bryce said as the guards walked away while Peter got up. Looking back at Bryce who quickly cupped his face.
"What the hell happened?" Bryce exclaimed. His face filled with complete concern. "My parents didn't like the fact that I'm gay and we're dating." Peter explained as Bryce looked over where the guards had left before looking back at him. "Those Were Your Parents!?" Bryce exclaimed loudly, causing Peter to move back a bit. "Yeah." He sighed. "But I'm alright." Bryce looked incredibly close to shaking him. "No you're not! You literally have a bloody nose!" Peter put his hand up to his nose feeling something wet before looking down. "Oh I do." "How are you so casual about this?" Bryce asked as Peter shrugged. "I guess it's probably because I stood up for myself for once." Bryce let out a sigh. "Let's get you inside and patch you up." Bryce said as Peter nodded. "Yeah that's fair."
Peter let out a hiss as Bryce placed a patch over the bruises from his mother's heels. "Sorry." Bryce muttered. "Nah it's fine." Peter replied as he removed the blood-stained tissue from his nose. Feeling under and relieved to feel nothing. "So what were they trying to do?" Bryce asked. "Convince me to go back home with them." Bryce looked back over at him. "I'm sorry." Peter gave him a smile back. "Well they didn't succeed." Bryce gave him a smile before pressing a kiss to his lips. "Good." He whispered as they parted. "As if they had a chance." Peter replied as he leaned against Bryce. For once he felt loved in his arms. Forget about the party downstairs as right now it was just them two. Now he had even more comfort knowing he would never see his parents again. Everything was just right.
