[Mayas POV]

'Hello, my name is Maya Baqri. Many of you may now me as the writers club owner'....no.
'Hello, my name is Maya Baqri, a humble, top grade student with remarkable talent'--
"Maya! Come down, you're going to be late!!"
"Yes mama, in a second!!" I shouted back before shutting down my laptop. I collected my books and rushed into the kitchen.

"My goodness Maya! It's enough I have to take care of your three siblings in the morning, don't make it my responsibility to remind you of school!" She puffed, her palm resting on her forehead. My youngest brother, Asif ran around the kitchen half naked.
"Asif! Put on the shirt right this instant!!"
He continued to run around, manically laughing. I decided it was time to act.
"Asif, how about you wear my  werewolf sweater you like so much? All sides win." I grinned causing him to halt. "Really?" He sparked up.
"Yeah, of course"
A wide grin spread across his face "Thanks Maya!" He said before running off into my room. Mission success.

I arrived to school and headed straight to class, no time to waste. My life's has been nothing but ordinary. It's all just wake up, eat, go to school, get home, do homework, study, sleep and repeat, occasionally meeting with the writers club.
I've no problem with that though, peace is what I like. All I really want is to do well in school, go to college and study creative writing, become an author. Nothing can ruin my plans.

After class finished up, I made my way to the next classroom, double checking I have everything I need. "Crap" I sighed to myself. No biggie, just missing one book!
I rushed back to my locker, my key steadily in my hand. I got the book I needed and was about to make my way back. Suddenly, I noticed a group of girls standing by the lockers with Molly huddled in between them. They laughed and mocked her. One of the girls threw Mollys locker key across the hallway. "Stop!" Molly hissed.
"Or what? Are you going to tell the whole school??" They sneered before pushing her onto the ground and walking away.
"What a tattle-tail"

I felt bad for her but I couldn't get involved, not with her...not after what she's done to my friends. But surely, she doesn't deserve THIS either.
"You need this?" I asked, her key in one hand, the other offering her help up. Eugh! Stupid Maya, what are you doing?! You're going to get in trouble with your friends! But I'm not befriending her, just helping...
"Thank you...Maya." She said, looking up at me with her gloomy eyes. They made me feel sorry for her, it made me want to fix all her pain. But I couldn't.
I simply smiled and walked back to my class.

I continued on normally with my life, trying to repress my guilt. I assumed that was the last of her, it was nothing more but an act of kindness. However, I was sorely mistaken!
She took it personally and has been trying to reach out to me ever since. She's been obsessively liking my posts on social media, commenting on them as if we were still friends. Trying to chat me up during class, in the halls, during P.E...I didn't have the heart to tell her so, I just let it happen.

📚📚📚📚

A good two weeks had passed and I tried to move on as if nothing was happening, I couldn't possibly trouble my friends about this, they'd only hate her more.
I came in early for class as there was a test, I wanted to get some quick study done. If I'm going to be completely honest, I hadn't slept much the night before. I've been considering having a conversation with Molly about her strange behaviour but I couldn't think of the words, they all sounded way too hateful!

After a couple of minutes, everyone had came into the classroom and the teacher sat down at his desk looking quite tired. He looked up at me with a drowsy look, slowly blinking at the hyper classroom.
"Alright" He sighed.
"We were going to have a test but uh...I've been real busy with the sixth years. Is it okay if I just...pair ye into groups for a quiz?" He asked the class which responded with excitement. They all cheered and laughed.
"Okay, sorry about that guys. We'll have a proper test next week..." He mumbled before placing the students into groups of five. Unluckily, I happened to be in the same group as Molly, luckily enough though, there was another three people I could talk to!
