Wei wandered through the streets looking for anyone who seemed as if they interested in his movements and he would turn and face them, which resulted in the person walking away. He read every mind he faced before they passed him. Some were simple pick pockets while others were a misunderstanding because they thought he was someone else. This was the roughest part of the city and if the Gamer was following him or Yunlan, he would be noticeable here, but he had no luck so far and he turned back towards a safer area. However his smart appearance gave the impression that he had money and several men decided to corner him in an alley and rob him of whatever valuables he was carrying, and blocked his path.
"You're not who I was looking for, do yourself a favour and walk away," Shen Wei said as he smiled slightly before he looked around for any street cameras and spotted a broken one, good.
The four men kept coming closer as Wei made no attempt to escape, but produced his guandao out of thin air and hit the ground with thunder. They froze as they recognised the weapon and realised who they were trying to rob, while Wei repeated himself.
"You are not who I was looking for, Run."
The four men flew as if their lives depended on it and would probably never try to rob anyone else who looked like an easy target, while Wei laughed at how simple is was to intimidate the weak humans, now if he could find the Gamer he would do more than frighten him, and he left the area quietly.
During the day he walked around the streets as Shen Wei in his appearance but at night he reverted to Black Robe who showed no mercy to anyone he thought deserved to face justice. Some criminals actually gave themselves up to the police when they saw him coming, because his reputation was growing as someone who dealt out punishment, but so far he had not broken any laws.
Yunlan was still in the office, but he was getting later and later when it came to going home with Daqing as his constant companion, wherever he was. The phone rang and it was Gelan informing him where Black Robe was and what he was doing. She knew that Yunlan was not strong enough yet to stop him and told him that Guard Li would be joining him soon. Yunlan was beginning to feel slightly better but he didn't know how he would ever be able to stop Black Robe and allow Wei to reappear and be himself, but that worry could wait for another day he just wanted to go home and relax.
The red four by four was in the lower garage. Yunlan had started taking it to work instead of the police vehicle he was issued with which was useless in a chase, and as he walked slowly towards it, he was aware that he was being watched while he carried the cat. He saw the reflection of the person in the side windows trying to stay hidden in the shadows, but he felt the cat become tense as if ready to attack and he spoke quietly to him.
"I know someone's there, wait and see what they're going to do before you use your claws onthem," he said as he left the car door open and sat inside waiting.
